Finally had a chance to check this place out and it did not disappoint. This is the best beer in Reno! All of the beers we had were well balanced and the tap list was quite varied. It was extremely busy on Friday night so it took quite awhile to get our beers, but they apologized and the beers made up for the wait! The food was good, too. The line to order was quite long but it seemed to go pretty fast. We just moved to Reno so it’s been fun trying new to us places and this is a spot we’ll definitely return to. The only thing I could ask for is a location in the North Valleys so it’d be closer to home. 😄

Schussboom Brewery is a gem. The beer’s excellent, the food’s way better than you’d expect from a place with “brewery” in the name, and there’s plenty of room for kids to crawl, wobble, and stage minor coups between bites of mac and cheese. The staff was friendly, the vibe relaxed, and somehow everyone got to enjoy themselves, even the adults. Great spot for lunch with little ones and a pint.

Love this place! Always a great selection of beers, and the food never disappoints. Pizzas are excellent and I really like the different poutines. Chicken tenders and wings are a must. I've been a guest here since day one and I bring my dad every so often. Big shout out to Even!!! Really nice guy and always friendly when I come in!

To start, everything they do is top notch with the highest quality. All the beers are excellent, all the food is excellent. I wanted to add a review specifically for their double IPA Party Fuel. I’m always on the hunt for a high ABV dry west coast IPA with a clean finish, and boy does this hit the mark. Most 9% IPAs fall under imperial category and are heavy sweet and malty. But the party fuel has that blast of hops you expect from a double with a very dry clean finish that leaves you wanting another sip. Wow such a good beer.

The beers, Pilsner and Lager, were excellent, and the food was fantastic. The atmosphere was great as well. However, the only downside was that the beertenders had no knowledge of the beers. It took them an astonishing 10 minutes to answer a simple question about the hops in the West Coast IPA.
