Stumbled upon this place at the end of our night in Reno and had the best time! The drinks were incredible, our group had a blast playing chess and jenga, but most of all, the bartender was such a wonderful person and really made our night!

Loved this spot - a pub in the middle of Reno with BOGO beer specials, a clever British bartender, soccer on the telly, Smithwick’s on tap, and a most excellent selection of Scotch whiskey and bourbon behind the bar.
Oh, and this “American dog” (per the bartender) seen in the photo!

A “Hyphynorcalgirl” More
Went here for a burlesque show and was disappointed with front door person who wasn't really promoting the roses for tips. I tried to order a drink and it took at least 5+ minutes, despite the bar having only 2-3 people. So I was kind of ignored. The show was alright, but could have had a better host guy.
I am a regular here for Monday Night Poetry. Alan the bartender is amazing. There is a great selection of NA beverages available (I am sober). Tuesday night karaoke is also a great time!

I was in town for work and wanted to get a drink at somewhere low key. Located right in the heart of Reno, Shim’s Tavern is a good place to get drinks with friends. They have a lot of beers on tap and they make their own house cider.
