Easy to get to from I-80, entrance & docks are a little tight for highway semis but doable. Very fast unload and seem very understanding of winter weather related delays.

7/18/2023-It's funny how fate happens- and well all these fortunate paths have led me down the road to here-Had a very pleasant experience yesterday evening.. exploring variety of meats-I am very thankful and a big fan ..My favorite for now is the Durham Ranch Smoked Wagyu (American Style Kobe Beff) jerky!

Now, every quarter, they open up their processing plant and sell to the public great meat and seafood selections. Went by today and grabbed some steak and sausages. Time to fire up the traeger.

I showed up at my appointment time. Had to wait for a door. Overall a tight experience. No room for overnight parking. Quick to unload. Lumper fee was reasonable. Check or cash. They also charge late and rescheduling fees.

Very fast unloading 30 minutes. Very easy to go past truck entrance/exit, look for Sierra Meat trucks.

They get a 1.5 for facility super small the only receiving doc is right To the wall so it's super tight but the guy who unloaded me was super nice got me done in less than 15 minutes and was able to get out of there

I got to to this place 7:30am they were rude .I was on door ready and was not unloaded till 3 hours later . Apparently two trucker that got there after me got unloaded before me because they paid some worker money cash to get unloaded first . Now I’m late to my next appointment

So many moons ago I was chilling at Chef Mark Estee's Burger Me joint in north west Reno. I was and still am hooked on that Elk burger they cook at the Burger Me locations. While waiting I was talking to the employees asking them where the get their elk from...did those employees turn me onto a great little secret of a business called Sierra Meat & Seafood. I soon learned that Sierra Meat and Seafood was a supplier for many restaurants and casinos in Reno, NV. So one day, a few years ago I called up Sierra Meat & Seafood and placed an order for 12 pounds of ground elk. The elk was broken down in one pound boxes. Needless to say I haven't drawn an elk tag in Nevada in the last 8 years but this ground elk from Durham Ranch is priced to sell and sure is tasty when your crush makes you elk chili like my boo does. During Covid crazy people days when the grocery stores were sitting on empty shelves Sierra Meats was keeping me in my seats at home waiting for some tasty eats. Great local business that has a meat armory the size of the Hawthorn Army Depot.
I read great things about this place; retailers and wholesaler of seafood (and meat I guess), in a small shop in an industrial park, and locally owned. But alas I didn't get a chance to try it. Apparently they don't serve walk-ins and even phone orders aren't filled the same day. I'm sure there's a good reason for that, but you have to plan to buy their stuff. When I called them from in front of their store they said they could fill my order in three days. Couldn't I just come in now and pick it up? Oh well. Looks like a great source. Just be sure to call your order in advance.

Wanted to try this place again since last time nobody would help me. Called in and was told that they are wholesale only. Twice I've tried to spend a few hundred dollars with them. Their loss, we spend a lot of money on meat!

Wanna cook with the same ingredients as a restaurant? Buy from a great wholesaler. They're in the biz of finding the best items for their customers, and when you're able to buy from them, then you get them too. It's a little known fact that Sierra Meat has always been open to the public. You can call in an order and pick it up pretty easily. During COVID-19 they out together some wonderful staple packages that are easy to order and enjoy at home. Meat, poultry, seafood and wild game can all be purchased through Sierra Meat. Don't skip the Flocchini family provisions sausage!

2 pallets 50bucks lumper. Was unloaded by the time I got the efs code. Walmart Dist center took 3hrs for the same two pallets earlier that morning. Four docks and tight backing. Guy in charge Frank was awesome
