I wasn't sure what to think about Doughboy Donuts with ice cream. Yes it sounds good, but also very sweet. With my type 2 diabetes, I have to be careful or I get real sick. But something about the glazed donut and creaminess of the ice cream, blends well! Not too sweet at all. Tons of flavor! Your mouth does a happy dance! There is a variety of ice cream flavors and option for donuts or cookies.

What a cute little ice cream shop! We stopped in here on an App Crawl night to get a scoop or two of deliciousness. I certainly was not disappointed and even found a couple of new favorite flavors. This will absolutely be my go-to spot when craving ice cream. Their extended hours and excellent service have been unmatched for me here in Reno.

I was Simply blown away by how delicious my cookie sandwich was! Two delicious chocolate chip cookies with a huge chunk of cocolate peanut butter ice cream in between. Great location, right next to Junkees. And the decor is bizarre, but very cool! I would love to go check it out on a hot summer's day and eat it outside, with the ice cream dripping all over my shoes. Now that sounds like a perfect day...

Atmosphere: The interior of Simple Ice Cream Sandwiches is bright and inviting. The walls are cluttered with many framed pictures and fun quotes. You could absolutely get lost in all the whimsy on the walls as you eat your ice cream sandwich, or you can occupy yourself by playing one of the many board games set out for customers to play. A word of warning, the ice cream sandwiches can get a bit messy, so you might want to wait until after to indulge in the game play. Food: I believe there were 16 flavors of ice cream when we came by late on a Sunday evening. At this time of day the pastries were running lower, but we still got the donuts we wanted. At this time they were offering one flavor of vegan ice cream, the chocolate almond joy. I got this flavor on the chocolate donut. The ice cream donut sandwich was a novel combination and I really enjoyed it. However the combination of so much sweetness was a little to rich for me. Suggestions for the future: They also offer vegan ice cream cones but no vegan pastries as of yet. I was very thankful to find a place like this offering a vegan ice cream, but was a little disappointed there wasn't a vegan cookie or donut to pair with it. I wonder if Simple's might consider getting a vegan donut or cookie option in the shop? If you guys change up your vegan flavor offering for the future, will you consider having a flavor option that is a bit more mild? All in all I really enjoyed this novel ice cream shop, and I hope they expand their alternative offerings for the future.

This is a great business idea! They source top-quality local donuts, cookies, and ice cream and make them into an ice cream sandwich - genius! Also a funky, friendly atmosphere - best dessert in Reno! And reasonably priced besides.

Wonderful treats in the heart of midtown and a perfect spot to unwind after getting lost in the treasure trove that is Junkee (next door). Get there earlier in the afternoon/evening so that you have a full selection of donuts - sometimes they run out!

Such a unique and yummy spot! We absolutely went for the donut ice cream sandwiches, because why wouldn't you?? They had one vegan ice creams that was a super tasty almond joy (and went great with the coconut donut, imo). There wasn't gluten free treats, but you could get just a scoop of the ice cream sans sandwiching. Extra points because the staff person was awesome!

1st thing I would like to say is that the owner is AMAZING! The ice cream is suuuper good and the prices can't be beat. I got the blueberry flavor, my husband got the butter pecan, my son got mint chip and my FIL got salted caramel. We all left there with ice cream in our hands and a smile on our faces. It will definitely be a must to come by here every time we're in Reno.

Nick and I stopped by after dinner to fix our sweet tooth craving ! I had passed Simple Ice cream a couple of times but had never had the time to stop by. I definitely kicked myself for not coming in sooner. Inside youll fine unique decoration with encouraging quotes and fun colors. Simple serve your choice of a doughnut ice cream sandwich or regular ice cream in a cup or a cone. Nick chose a cup of oreo cookie ice cream while I had the butter pecan ice cream in a cone. Simple also has a cool photo machine that snaps your picture and sends to your email and or phone. Will be coming here again :)

Ice cream is perfect for any occasion. Life crisis? Ice cream. Birthday/anniversary/miscellaneous celebration? Ice cream. Despite being incredibly minimalistic, Simple Ice Cream has perfected the art of ice cream. This was the final stop in my recent Reno Food Tour. It ended the whole experience on a perfectly sweet note. I ordered the salty caramel ice cream and it was delightful. The ice cream itself was caramely and it also had swirls of caramel woven in. I ordered only a scoop, but it was a very generous scoop! The milk is sourced from a local creamery, so you can really taste the freshness in each spoonful. The decor is what really sets this place over the top. I'm pretty sure every square inch is decorated with some kind of knick knack or clever sign!

Great service and very friendly staff. Simple is simply an adorable ice cream sandwich shop that uses donuts as the bun. Very tasty! The interior has a bunch of fun signage and Junkee collectibles to look at and it is attached to an junk consignment store. Well worth the visit!
