Food is amazing! I went there tonight for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. Everything about it was amazing. Another customer was extremely rude to my server though even though I thought the server was doing an amazing job, saying that the restaurant was very busy.

I'd suggest more sauce for the fettuccine Alfredo. Service was ok, drink was empty while staff could be seen chit chatting. Had to ask twice for extra sauce.

“Lemme tell you somethin’ about Skipolini’s…”

So I walk into Skipolini’s in South Reno, right? First time here. And immediately I’m thinkin’, “OK, this joint’s got class — real famiglia vibes.” Big ceilings, warm lamps hangin’ down, walls full of old-school Italian-style family imagery. And the kitchen? Wide open, like they got nothin’ to hide. You see the dough flyin’, the sauce simmerin’ — makes you feel like you just stepped into Nonna’s cucina on a Sunday.

Karen was our server — fast, friendly, on point. No messin’ around. We got seated quick, got our drinks quick, food came out even quicker. They got a full bar too, lotta people sittin’ there lookin’ real comfortable, so you know the bartenders are on their game.

I go with the 10-inch mushroom and pepperoni pizza. Now listen… this pie was buonissimo. Nice undercarriage, crispy like it should be. Maybe — maybe — I’d leave it in the forno one more minute for my personal taste, but I’m tellin’ you, the flavor was spot on. You ain’t leavin’ disappointed.

My girl orders the BBQ chicken pizza on a gluten-free crust — and lemme say somethin’. Gluten-free crust is usually a gamble, but this one? Fantastico. Thin, crispy, flavorful — chef deserves a salute for that. Not everyone can make a GF pie that actually tastes like a real pizza.

You add in the warm ambiente, the charm, the nostalgia — plus the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like part of the famiglia — and honestly? This place is a five-star joint all day.

If you want Italian with heart, tradition, and a little bit of that old-school soul… Skipolini’s is where you go.

Had the godfather panini. It was good. Italian wedding soup was a little odd, but fine

First time trying this place out. I had basic spaghetti and meatballs and wasn't impressed. The sauce was 75% water and bland. Meatballs were good.

Service was great and it's a nice atmosphere.

The Eggplant was small and too thin. When ordering, we had no idea of the prices too.

Good but needs new items. Sadly the food was off. I have not been here in a couple of years but I remember better tasting food. The Bolennase was more weak tomato sauce than a meat sauce. Daughter had overcooked pasta with her Chicken Piccata and there was 5x more pasta than chicken. My wife had the Lasagna Bolennase with so much stringy cheese n sauce she could not see the pasta and found little meat. This was not a Nona worthy trip this time.
