1) Menu was dirty five year old Sneakers’ Menu. When I spoke to the person who appeared to be in charge and she said they couldn’t afford to print new 8x11” insert copies. Come on folks. Sneakers closed four+ years ago. Web site still shows old menu and prices.2) TVs at bar are mounted in such a manner that is similar to sitting in front row of a movie theatre. Bring Flexeril and Tylenol for resulting neck ache.3) A club sandwich is an INTERNATIONAL STANDARD of three pieces of toast w/ mayo. First layer being either ham or turkey and BLT on second layer. Not a hoagie roll with melted ham, bacon, American cheese with thick slices of onion and pickles. I was unable to eat due to onion allergies. Had to politely ask for box.4) Eggs Benedict is toasted English Muffin with Canadian Bacon, poached egg covered lightly with Hollandaise Sauce. Preferably made from scratch and not KnorrSwiss. It’s not supposed to smothered in Country Gravy instead of Hollandaise on Sour Dough bread. If you want to serve it with Country Gravy, fine. Though a better name might be Eggs Benedict Arnold for it truly is traitorous to common restaurant standards,5) Two stars because remodeled and clean restrooms and decent HD TVs. Two stars.6) Friendly bartender. Three stars.Owner claims I’m being untruthful, so I guess you’ll have to go down and see for yourself.

I used to come here all the time we gamble, eat, spend our fair share and tip well. I came in tonight after not coming in since the summer when I posted a review on this site calling out two bartenders. One specifically named Char for letting her boyfriend be rude and flip me off while I was there. I have had zero confrontation with this woman until tonight. I come in my boyfriend has 100 bucks in hand and we wait 20 minutes for service. She finally come up gets in my face and says "I'll allow you to stay after what you did but". I did not let her finish her statement we got up and immediately left. I'm not spending my money somewhere that I'm trying to relax and get a meal after work to be confronted aggressively. We were going to eat, put money in the machines, and tip Sasha well (Char was closing out and Sasha was coming on shift). I cannot beleive this place continues to employ an OUT OF CONTROL bar tender.

This used to be Sneakers, but it was rebranded into The Pylon. While the exterior and the interior changed in appearance, the menu is the same and still has the Sneakers logos on it which I thought was odd. I ordered the jalapeño burger, described as a burger with Swiss and American cheese topped with jalapeño poppers. I was so excited to try it. Although the burger was delicious, it wasn't as described on the menu. The burger had the cheese, but no jalapeño poppers, just jalapeño slices. I was bummed by that, but the fries and burger were still very good. The service was mediocre and it heavily smelled of smoke inside. Overall, an okay experience with good food.

This was my first time here. Bartender, interacted with the regulars a lot more than the new customers. The food wasn't bad. We got received our order at a decent time.

Bartender stopped our songs for a football game, even though no one was watching the game. Bar was pretty empty and my friends made up half the patrons. Songs were in Spanish which makes me wonder if that was the reason she didn't want them playing. Friend paid $10 tab with $20 and Bartender assumed change was the tip. We don't mind tipping 100% but we expect decent service. Had to try harder than should be required for an empty bar to get Bartenders attention just to get a beerUpdate. Bartender switch from you have to pay rn to if you would like to pay now. Haven't seen anyone else order and pay right away as of yet other than us. Ordered a beer and she left it on the bar near her as opposed to near the costumer like she has done to every other costumer. Must be a confidence that I'm the only non white costumer. Had to reach across the bar just to grab me beer

Good food, strong drinks and beautiful bar tenders, inside and out what more could you ask for?

Great local bar, attentive service, good food, lots of sports on 10+ tv's in the family room alone. We also enjoyed playing pool and the music created a fun atmosphere, well definitely visit again.

The food is amazing, best sliders I've had. The service is fantastic and the surrounding brought me back to my element. And the prices are reasonable

What a terrible disappointment. We ordered a couple of burgers and fries for pick-up tonight to try this place. Simple request for 2 burgers, medium, with lettuce and tomatoes, and NO mayonnaise. We also asked for 2 orders of crispy fries. When we picked up the order at the prescribed time -about 15 minutes later, 1) one of the burgers was slathered in mayonnaise, which I painstakingly scraped off to help avoid the inevitable stomachache, and 2) the “crispy fries” were soft, cold, and far from crispy. It’s just too bad we couldn’t have found a go-to dinner joint in our neighborhood. We’ll have to keep looking, because we won’t go back to The Pylon Bar and Grill.

Great place to hang out and very friendly people. I feel safe here. I find it odd that there’s been an abundance of these negative reviews. Sounds like somebody got triggered. There are sensitive people everywhere and there’s really nothing we can do about it but go on down and have a beer and forget about the angry people in life.

EDIT: lmao did everyone know you can literally file a police report against anyone about anything and it won't go anywhere?! Ask the Pylon bar, they'll confirm that. And so will Reno PD, I did my research. They are apparently filing a police report (see their reply) because I called ONCE and left a bad review after the rude woman I spoke to didn't take my complaints seriously. Isn't that our right as Americans to speak freely?! Isnt this what google reviews are for?! Wow, this bar is all kinds of terrible! If you enjoy having your right of freedom of speech taken away, or at least attempted, give the Pylon your business. If I could give zero stars I would. Bar is an absolute DUMP, service is terrible, employees are rude and if you call to complain, it won't be taken by the owner, as they are never there. These are the kinds of businesses that give Stead a bad name. If you value this community, you won't patronize this establishment.

Great place to work. Friendly regulars and they keep the homeless from loitering and constantly asking for money which makes me feel safe and comfortable. Nice place, renovated, lots of tv’s, and awesome burgers!

Bartender was completely wasted. She was young spilling, sluring and stumbling all over. We left couldn't even order our drinks because she was so loud and drunk.
