Sushi Pier (Reno) Reviews
I began my sushi journey at the OG Sushi Pier over 20 years ago. Instantly developed amazing friendships with their staff. Always knew me by not just my name but my “nickname” lol. Always amazing food, chefs are always willing to make alterations to requests (add this, subtract that, make it spicier).
Whenever my OG Reno friends come into town and want to go to sushi, they always request the OG Sushi Pier!

Sushi Pier in Reno offers a variety of menu items with all-you-can-eat lunch or dinner deals. The restaurant is tucked away behind a busy shopping center, making it a hidden gem for sushi lovers. Customers have noted the excellent quality of sushi, with fresh options that are made to order instead of being pre-prepared. The Chicken Katsu skewers remain a popular choice, along with the fried scallop nigiri and the yellowtail and mackerel nigiri. The Potstickers are mild but enjoyable, especially when paired with tonkatsu sauce.
The restaurant has a beach oasis ambiance and is family-friendly, providing a welcoming atmosphere for all diners. Though prices have slightly increased, the overall experience remains worth it, especially considering the superb quality of ingredients and portions. The attentive staff is generally responsive to requests, and the restaurant takes food allergies seriously, ensuring that customers are provided with safe alternatives when needed.
Sushi Pier continues to be a favored choice for those looking for a high-quality sushi experience in the Reno metropolitan area. Customers have praised the great staff, delicious food, and larger portions, as well as the restaurant's consistency over the years. The menu offers a variety of options, including the popular Moondog, Buckley hand rolls, and quail egg shooters.
