Hannah was a fabulous serverer. Our NY steaks were so tender you could cut them with a butter night. The Sunset Menu is a wonderful value.

Ambience and service were nice. The food was a disappointment. Steak was tough and green beans were undercooked. Way too much garlic on both. The ice cream for dessert was freezer burnt. This is certainly not what you would expect from a steak house.

The environment is nice and our food server were great but the food was not really good. The lobster bisque was so salty and warm. My expectations were high but I was disappointed. So my company said the same, even the mashed potato were salty. The salmon was okay and the green beans were so hard to chew.

It would be nice to have a small salad or vegetable with the steak. The ribeye was ok but a bit chewy. Probably not going to be rushing back to eat at Nevada Steak.

Great food, service and ambience. They have a really good menu and priced very well. So glad we have NV Steak house in south Reno. We love looking out onto their beautiful gardens.

Tried the Sunset Dinner. 3 course meal (only between 4:30 & 5:30pm). I had the “$5 upgrade” to the New York Steak, it was cooked perfectly! It was great! Service was wonderful. Their regular menu is wonderful as well. Our go to place for a great meal or for taking out of town visitors to.
THIS IS A ONE STAR REVIEW. My mom's 16oz ribeye was just okay, and my prime rib was not so great. In terms of the steak and my prime rib it was not prime. When you go to a steakhouse you expect an outstanding steak. We did not get that. I gave a good tip because the service was outstanding. Fire the cook or whomever orders the meat. I'm not sure if it's the owners fault for ordering sub par meat, but you guys need to do something because the Tamarack Cafe serves steak and prime rib that are just as good as the steakhouse. For $175 for two people, I'm very disappointed. We will not return. I don't want to hear back from management because there is absolutely no way we are returning. And the dessert (strawberry shortcake and creme brule) tasted and looked like pig slop. Do not waste your money on this dive. The cooks, and whomever prepares the food give a bad name to this establishment and the servers who work their tails off get a bad wrap too.

The restaurant is located inside the Tamarack casino. Once inside the noise of the casino is gone and it is very nice traditional steakhouse décor. Our service was excellent from the beginning at the host stand, all the way threw the dinner. Our waitress Taylor was very energetic and responsive to our needs. The Chef Mike was there and visited with us at the table. The food was top notch, my NY Steak was cooked perfect. The pickled vegetable appetizer and sourdough bread were delicious. My girlfriend had the Spaghetti and Meatballs, she too said it was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful date night.

For the second time in 3 months my steak was such poor quality that I couldn't finish it. My bone in New York steak was mostly fat and gristle. It had so much gristle that it was difficult to cut into pieces and then I couldn't eat most pieces because of the poor quality. I didn't complain because they would have most likely offered to give me another option and my wife was already done with most of her meal and I didn't want to wait for a replacement.

In addition to a great meal and excellent service Nevada Steak had red rose petals on our table for our anniversary. We are very happy it's close to home and never disappoints.
