Gorgeous room! So comfortable: perfect bed and amazing bedding, blackout curtains, Grown Alchemy products, exposed brick, a cozy rug and sitting area, tall ceilings and a beautiful plant in my room. I’d absolutely stay here again. Plus - check-in was super easy (despite a 1 am arrival), and the staff was great.
Copying the sentiments of the review before me.
Mixed emotions about this hotel.
Check-in was brutal. We booked all six rooms. The owner was there at check in but 1) gave me the wrong codes to the rooms and 2) refused to give me codes to all the rooms 2 hours before check in even though five of the six were ready.
The room is absolutely beautiful. Big bathroom/shower. Nicely furnished and a great comfortable bed.
The second floor rooms get a lot of noise from the lobby bar so beware. The street noise wasn’t as bad as advertised in the reviews but we also visited on mlk weekend so the cold may keep the streets quieter. The walls are thin like most hotel so do prepare to sleep with earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
Neighborhood is akin to lower nob hill or the mission in San Francisco. Lot of rift raft but nothing dangerous. Free parking is nice but don’t leave stuff in your car overnight (as in San Francisco).
I’d stay here again only jf we booked all rooms. There’s no common space in the lobby so you’re SOL if the lobby bar/cafe is closed.
Not sure about the hotel, but the Mexican restaurant is great with a DJ and fun vibes outside
On the last leg of a cross country trip this was hands-down the worst place I stayed. As a single woman traveling with a car full of stuff, I called ahead ask if the hotel was in a safe neighborhood and my car would be secure. Upon arrival, I asked if I could walk my dog in the neighborhood and if it was safe noting that the hotel seemed to be a thoroughfare for homeless folks. I was told it was not and that I could relieve my dog in the parking lot it the courtyard and I should take all my belongings out of the car. I carried all my stuff up the stairs because there’s no elevator, no problem. Staff was super nice and I asked if anything I’ve ever been stolen from the parking lot and she said yes. The hotel is located a block from a shelter and a bus station. There was screaming all night, long and the hotel locks the door which leads to the courtyard and parking lot through the safety of the lobby At 9 o’clock until 8 am. The effect of this is you have to go out onto the street get heckled by 10 to 20 homeless people on your way to the parking lot which is wide open. In the morning, I wanted to leave early. The door was still locked when I stuck my head outside to see if it was safe to take my dog out. Three men started walking towards the door and yelling for me. I shut the door and called the phone number given to me for the hotel and no one answered so I texted to ask when someone was gonna be there no Answer. I decided to call the Reno non emergency line and got a police escort to my car because I had three loads that I had to carry out. The police officer was happy to do it and came right away when I told him the area. If I were this hotel and chose this neighborhood, I would either need to have a security guard or someone on site, or have a locked parking lot that’s secure that you can access through the building not out on the street. The rooms are really clean and pretty and well done But who cares?
The food here is super delicious, especially the veggie tempura, hummus, and the meats. Everything was amazing. The cocktails are also really good. The place has a totally cozy vibe and the staff is incredibly friendly. Prices are also very reasonable. I hadn’t seen a spot like this in downtown Reno before. Anyone visiting Reno should definitely check it out. The hotel rooms are beautiful, really well designed, and the beds are super comfortable.
They’re cleaning house of all the staff that made this place so wonderful. Sad to see new ownership coming in and totally ruining a good thing. The first time I came in, menu was delicious and everything was just amazing. Tried the new menu and wasn’t impressed. Definitely seems like it’s being geared more towards tourists under new ownership rather than locals and fellow industry people like it was before.
I had the pleasure of staying at The Jesse. Rooms were very clean. Hospitality was exceptional. Not in the nicest part of town but I understand the importance of the location. Close to ballpark, train station and bus station. I do believe this place is only going to get better. Can’t wait to come back and try their Mediterranean cuisine.
Mixed emotions about this hotel.
Check-in was brutal. No one was there and we had to talk to a VERY busy bartender who had to call the owner to get checked in. Then our reservation was questioned making us feel unwelcome.
The room is absolutely beautiful. Big bathroom/shower. Nicely furnished and a great comfortable bed. Our room was directly above the bar so the DJ they had playing until after midnight was heard clearly...
With that said, please prepare yourself for a rough neighborhood with alot of transient, drug users and homeless. Lock your car, be aware of your surroundings.
Prepare yourself for a very noisy night and early morning as this is across from the bus station and other public transportation.
They provide ear plugs and a white noise machine for reference to what you're about to deal with.
If you're looking for a close hotel for the ballpark it's in walking distance but I don't recommend for someone looking for a peaceful time because it is not.
A good hotel for young people wanting to party
I have to give these guys 1000 star review for customer service. I had dropped my wallet outside, upon review of the security footage we saw the guy who took it. Using find-my and my air tags, the owner and manager hopped in my car; drove with me 7 miles to find the guy, and we got my wallet back. Aside from this awesome act of service. This is a very nice and affordable hotel with a nice vibe and bar below. Interior design is excellent. Highly highly recommended.
Went here just for a cocktail and dinner. The patio is amazing. Music is fun. Food is so good. Having the Mediterranean bowl with lamb meatballs and my cocktail is amazing : The Oracle of Delphi with mezcal grapefruit lime and thyme syrup served by a beautiful bar tender. Great experience. Will return. Indoor and outdoor ambiance and atmosphere is great.

Great spot in Reno amidst the casinos and Reno-isms. The noise is that of a city. The rooms are a great deal for the money.
We booked two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were excited to experience what looked to be a cozy, comfortable hotel in an up and coming neighborhood. The hotel and staff were wonderful. We truly loved the aesthetic and felt well cared for. Unfortunately, the location of the property (busy corner, across from bus station, near homeless shelters) meant there was noise all night. Even though we used the earplugs and white noise machine provided in the room, I don't think we got more than an hour of sleep the first night. We were so wiped out, we decided to check out early the next day. There was no staff to talk to in the morning other than a barista so I texted the management to let them know. They replied with a sincere apology, but no offer of reimbursement for our unused night. I truly think this is a great property and the area does show promise. I wish the owners well, however anyone planning to stay there should know in advance what they're getting into in terms of the environment.
We had a really nice stay at The Jesse. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable, the bath products were excellent. I appreciated that they provided a white noise machine and ear plugs to help with the ambient noise. The hotel is next to the downtown bus hub, and the rooms are right above the bar/restaurant, so there is quite a bit of noise, but we slept really well using the white noise and ear plugs. It's not an area I would want to be in alone at night, but we felt safe inside.
This is the place you go if you want amazing beverages made by the Best bartenders in Reno.
The room was beautiful but that’s all that’s was good with this stay. I booked on a third party website that allows to pay at the property while checking in. This hotel tried charging me twice two days before my stay. When we get there to check in, there is no front desk. We check in with someone at the bar. The bar and restaurant are currently closed and this was also not disclosed upon booking. The property charge me twice for my stay and I still haven’t received my refund. The information for the room states there will be someone there after 7:30 am and until 10pm. The man that took the money was the only person we saw and he left at about 6-7 both nights and was not there at 8 am when we awoke. The neighborhood is not safe and the homeless have taken over. The private lot they provide does not lock and had homeless sleeping. The signs state they are responsible for vandalism or theft because of their lack of security. Definitely won’t stay here again and may have to contact the BBB
