This place is consistently awesome. The menu is very diverse. Ordered the Oysters Rockefeller, and they were very good, but a little heavy on the spinach. The Jambalaya was excellent.

Nice place and in a nice safe clean area of Reno, kinda hard to imagine. Any way they have a small parking lot but they have another one just next door. Recomend you make reservations, they might not be able to seat you if not. For started the Baked Brie and Fruit, HIGHLY recomend this, it was amazing. The ladies had the Veggie Polenta, one the first time having and thank god it was a good one, she loved it. My wife had thw Sauteed Chicken with Artichokes. Although she said it was good she wished they would have seasoned / added more salt as it was a bit bland. My Friend had the Stone House fish and chips, he said it was good and in the same breath said how do ya screw up fish and chips. I had the Calf Liver and oniins, damn good and super tender. Came with mashed potatoes and a portion of mixed veggies. Veggies were good and gooked just right, not soft but crisp & cooked. The mashed potatoes with gravy could have used a bit more salt and pepper but was still good. Good price & great food for 4 people. All in all a good place in a goid safe clean area.

We had been wanting to experience dining at the stone house cafe for a while, but every time we attempted to go they were packed with people. That told is it had to be good food. We were not disappointed with our dining here. The wait staff were excellent, the food was very very good, and the atmosphere was relaxing. We will definitely go again.

I have lived in Sparks/Reno since 1992 and have gone to the Stone House Cafe many times. I will never go back due to their terrible customer service today. I had a reservation at 11:45am for two. My friend arrived on time, but I was held up, by two accidents, coming from Spanish Springs. They would not seat her without me there and she was then told to wait. She explained there were accidents on the road and they didn't care. I got there at 12:00. Super frustrating to have to deal with traffic and then not even be able to get a table. Pictures are what I had to get through to get to the restaurant. One Picture is the accident I passed as I left.

I’ve been going to Stonehouse for years, and it’s always been a solid experience. Unfortunately, that changed during my most recent visit.
I came in with my family and was told there would be a 10 to 20 minute wait, which we were fine with. As we waited near the entrance, a large group walked in and unintentionally pushed us toward the front of the doorway. Despite the fact that this group did not have a reservation, they were seated before us.
What followed was especially disappointing. The hostess addressed us in a demeaning tone and told us we had to wait outside in the cold and rainy weather. The way we were treated was both disrespectful and uncalled for.
This experience was a sharp contrast to the reliable service we’ve come to expect. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because no customer should be made to feel unwelcome.
