This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in town. The walnut shrimp is unparalleled. The spicy boiled beef makes your mouth tingle. Satisfied every time!
Portions are huge, food is delicious and service is excellent. New favorite Chinese food place.
Great food and service
I ordered the beef curry over rice and is was so tender!!!! The curry sauce it self hut all the best 📝notes. If your traveling or reno native this is your number one place to go. HANDS DOW. ✋️ 👐
Food is delicious and always made fresh with the highest quality. The owner is the kindest and friendliest woman and I enjoy seeing her every time we stop by. Best Chinese food I’ve had. Be sure to stop by and try something new, it’s all delicious!
For the food to be priced, the way it is you would expect quality over quantity. I paid almost $25 for a shrimp dinner and I got majority sides. The dinner is supposed to come with an egg roll. When I let them know that mine was missing the lady in the back lied and said that there were not any just to bring me out one 3 minutes later with an attitude. The rice and the chow main was extremely dry with little to no flavor. I got 5 pieces of shrimp that tasted very old like it was reheated or set around for a while. Very underwhelming. I will not be eating here again. You can go somewhere else for better food same quantity for probably a better price.
Good Ol Blaster Strongate and I were doing our best to keep one step ahead of those pesky Pinkerton Boys, not because we were causing them any grief, but Blaster took one of the big Casinos for $121,000 in crisp new Ben Franklin's, and they blundered up and gave him the moot before the tax paperwork and Social Security numbers were given. For the past 20 years or so we have always celebrated/mourned April 15...Tax day by going out for Chinese food, and seeing that the 121,000 was tax free......We be Celebrating bigly!
The Wok Chinese Cuisine Restaurant has about the best sweet and sour prawns in the world, so that's why we're here. The Wok is a 5 star experience every time! ☆☆☆☆☆
This is the best restaurant I’ve eaten at during my week of skiing in Tahoe — even more authentic than many Chinese restaurants in Boston! The service was also incredibly warm. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Reno!
As a Chinese native, I can confidently say this is the most authentic Sichuan/Chongqing food in town. We ordered '39 Spicy Boiled Beef and Fish (水煮两样)' and '13 Deep Fry Tofu W/Beef in Spicy Sauce (熊掌豆腐)'—both were absolutely bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. Even my American friend who joined me couldn’t stop raving about how delicious everything was. If you’re craving real Sichuan spice and comfort, this is the place to go.
Authentic Sichuan food taste. Every time I go to Reno, it is a must restaurant I go.
Restaurantji Recommends
This place is always packed and has a lot of traffic. There food seems to be great and I would recommend it. I don't really line Chinese food but this place is actually one of the good ones in reno. The service is ok with all the people they have to keep up with but I do feel life it could be more cleaned. Sanitized I guess.
Excellent food. Often dine here for the traditional szechuan options. Family style sized portions and always delicious.
We were there for lunch. There were plenty of tables and the atmosphere. It was clean. The booth we sat in was comfortable and there were plenty of tables and chairs as well. The service was prompt and the ladies were kind. Now, the food. I got the lemon chicken and chicken chow mein. It was not good. My husband got the General Tao and fried rice. He said he has had better. However, we both agreed that the egg rolls were as good.
Fantastic authentic Chinese food. My go-to spot after work!
