This place was so fun and the cocktails are out of this world! The amazing bar tender was knowledgeable and gave us the history behind the bar, drinks, and all of his "spices" (aka mixers). He even made drink themed food for you to enjoy. He had made Frank Sinatra meatballs with red wine and they were to die for! The cigar box drink, the hot spiked apple cider was the bomb! This place is a gem. Don't miss out and make sure to add this to your stop in Reno!

Room was clean, easy to get to vehicle & room. The service desk everyone was very polite. Check in was very easy. Only issue was the microwave didn't turn but it worked enough to warm up our food so that was ok. Location was convenient. We go up to Reno every year for Hot August nights we have now found our New great resort to stay at.

The staff was vey helpful, especially in giving us information about the events and locations of those events for the Hot August Nights car show. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was clean. Aside from needing an update, the accommodations were great. The resort is right across the street from two restaurants that are just gems. We were able to walk to the car shoe and the casinos. Awesome location.

Accommodations are terrific. Large room, good location near river. Close to parks and artistic area of the center of Reno. A bit away from the activities of the car week Hot August Nights, for which we were in Reno.

Location is great, close to the main strip and we went to enjoy the Wing Fest. When I got tired I walked back to the hotel alone. Safe during the day, not recommended walking alone at night. Homeless were everywhere, it's not the hotels fault, it's just bad in Reno, like most cities now. Key needed to get in and out of hotel for safety. Room, bed, pillows, were comfortable. Room and bathroom are larger than average. I felt like I was at my grandparents house, the furnishings were older and lots of antiques. Not bad for the price.

Good location. 5 mins away from the National Automobile museum and the Discovery museum. Lots of food choices nearby. Free, secured parking. They put a $75 hold for a clicker which isn’t a big deal. Price was reasonable. I booked thru Hotels.com. Room was good size. We got a king with sofa bed. Excellent view of the mountains. Furniture was dated but it had a fridge and a microwave which is great when travelling with kids. They had a keurig too which I prefer over the old coffee machines. Crib was in the room when we got there which is nice. Bathroom looks newer and clean. Plenty of storage for our clothes, etc. Staff was friendly and responsive. We requested additional towels and it was delivered in less than 5 minutes. My kid enjoyed the heated pool on the 7th floor. They had a mini fitness center too. We didnt get to try “Thirsty’s” but heard good things about it. We were given coupons which is nice. Minus one star for the dirty carpet which needs to be replaced or deep cleaned. Other than that, would recommend this place.

Our King bed room was huge, comfortable, clean and very well furnished. Staff were very helpful and the hotel has a nice bar pool, and much more. The hotel has a very retro feel, which my wife and I enjoyed.

This is a very cool older hotel. It could probably use a little updating but then again, that is what gives it some character. The pool table, plush chairs, vibey bar, pool and sun deck (all located on 7th floor) were an unexpected bonus.

Bed was super comfy and the room was huge! Covered pool was a nice touch especially during hot days. Walking distance to many yummy restaurants and things to do. Across the street is Crafted Palette where we had breakfast EVERYDAY ( croissants and hand pies to die for).

Continently located with an awesome staff. The furnishings are a little dated and no food service during the early part of the week BUT all of that pales in comparison to the welcoming, helpful team there (and a great coffee and breakfast place steps away). AND free parking!

Clean, plenty of room, outdated (maybe 1990's furniture, bathroom, wall paper, etc). Could use a comfortable club chair in the room. Front desk employees welcoming, and professional. Close to area casinos, river walk, restaurants. The breakfast/bar area was closed - open on weekends only.

Nice room with lots of space. On site lounge has extremely limited hours and even more limited breakfast choices. It appears to be more of a hotel than a resort. A lot of rooms do not have resort amenities like dishware, silverware, and cooking abilities. My room had the hotel amenities (small fridge and microwave).

Very nice Hotel, Room was large, Bed was comfortable!! The check-in people at the front desk were very helpful and polite. The weather was snowy and cold so the location was our only complaint as we had to taxi every time we left the hotel. We had wished the location was closer to City Center.

Nice location near the river. We were in Reno for a concert at the event center and were able to walk to and from as well as all over downtown. Front desk people were very friendly and welcoming. Beds were comfortable and the pool was really big and a nice temperature and we had it to ourselves.

My husband and I were in town for the Reba concert and had stayed one night at the Eldorado and then changed to the Plaza Resort Club Hotel. The quality of the hotel room, service, personality of the Plaza Hotel was far superior to the Eldorado. I felt very welcomed at the Plaza and the room was AMAZING!!! Would definitely stay there again and will recommend this hotel to all my family/friends who might be traveling to Reno. I worked in the hotel industry many years ago in Palm Springs, CA, and have not felt the welcoming atmosphere at a hotel in many years until I checked in at the Plaza.
