I came in here a few weeks back on a misty rainy night and heard some Gordon Lightfoot music playing. I listen to Gordon all the time at home and it makes me so nostalgic so it hit me hard. The selection was overwhelming. I checked my pulse to see if I had died and gone to heaven because it seemed like a big dream. I browsed the bottles without being hassled and I thought I'd throw a curveball and ask for a hard to find super-peated whiskey called Octomore. They didn't have it, but they sure knew about it and said they've had it before. The leather chairs and the vibe were so fine and I was so tired I knew I'd just buy whisky and fall asleep so I walked away, but was happy to find such a nice place and I'm sure to return.

I was here with my boyfriend on February 23! My boyfriend was really excited when we saw this place that had huge collection of whiskeys! So we went in! There was just one guy that was running the place, did not welcome us in, when clearly made eye contact with us, not a big deal to us but what bothered us is the comments he made! My boyfriend chose a few whiskeys but he said all of them are out, usually when you go to a bar they would try to recommend you a substitute specially when they are out but he did not! Then we asked what he has and if we should look at this section and he said “ as you can see we have lot of walls here we don’t have that many drinks”while smirking, basically being sarcastic ! We felt really uncomfortable and unwelcome! We left after one drink! Worst service at a bar so far we’ve experienced! I don’t recommend this place at all!

Came in with some friends right at open on a Saturday afternoon so we had the opportunity for Russ to give us extra time and detail in giving us recommendations on various whiskeys to try and some education on the topic as well. Wonderful place. Wednesday is half price happy hour so it's a great time to try a greater variety of whiskey and save a dollar or two. From here on out anytime I'm in Reno, the Whiskey Lounge will be a party of my entertainment plans.

Super fun stop! I tried the hot and greasy drink one night while I was in here and it was delicious! They have a wide variety of whiskey and some fun cocktails on their menu. The space is a decent size and well lit. Overall good vibes for a cocktail

Stoped by last night 7/29, bar tender was rude like hovering over us while we looked through the menu. Asked for a whiskey and water tender suggested a whiskey to try, okay cool. We were charged $28 for a whiskey and water plus a house Chardonnay. We got looking through the menu the whiskey he picked was $24 and house wine was $11 so he over charged us. I did not finish the drink it was not good and the lady did not finish wine we tried sharing that but just left. Wont be going back.Yes it was the short balding tender

Good place, but dinging one star as the place doesn’t sometimes open on time. I showed up at 5p on a Sunday per the listed business hours, and the place did not have a soul in it. Your are hurting your client’s experience, so just change your hours.
Super fun place! Ambiance is great, employees are super fun. Loved the selection it was amazing.

I really enjoy Whisky Lounge!! It's so mellow inside, leather couches, low lighting... it's just a nice place to chill. And soooooo many options of whiskeys and bourbons. Other drinks too.. the Nog Snob is stupid good! And I am not an egg nog fan. The Striped Caucasian was super yummy!! Vodka, peppermint, coffee liquor... and a rim of fudge and peppermint candies. Strong but sooo good!

This is one of our favorite bars in Reno! Relaxing environment, friendly & knowledgeable staff and of course an outstanding whiskey selection. We always grab a spot at the bar and chit chat with Russ about what’s new! Would absolutely recommend this cozy spot in Midtown. ??
