Avoid this place at all costs! I made a reservation for my daughter's 11th birthday at 4:00 p.m., specifically to avoid the dinner rush since we had tickets to Dragon Lights at 6:00. Despite making the reservation weeks in advance, they refused to seat our group together and split us between two separate tables. At 4:15, I asked why we hadn't been seated yet, and they said it would be another 15 minutes. When we finally sat down we were seated at two separate tables, not even together even though we had a reservation they split us up! The service was painfully slow, and our waiter was rude and clearly in a bad mood. When we tried to order a mac and cheese appetizer, he cut us off, saying, “You already ordered one,” and walked away. Later, one of our hamburger sliders was mistakenly brought to the other table, and when we raised our hand to let him know it was ours, he sarcastically said, “Nice try,” left it there, and walked away. We ordered two fettuccine Alfredos ($23 each), and both tasted like TV dinners—cold and flavorless. When we told them, they just said “sorry” and offered a free $8 dessert. The manager was no better—barely spoke to us and did nothing to make the situation right. Overall, the experience was absolutely awful from start to finish. Don't waste your time or money here. Go to the Reno location instead—it's a completely different (and much better) experience.

One of our favorite restaurants. Really like having the calorie count on the menu items, good choice of beers and the variety. Food is always very tasty and presented well. Service is always very friendly and efficient. Overall always a great experience!

My wife and I have eaten at this BJs a few times and enjoyed ourselves. This time we got Dakota as us server and he was so wonderful! Hands down the best server we have gotten here. He was very funny and personal. He was very attentive of our dietary restrictions too!

We love BJs. They accommodate one of us who is vegan. The entrees were not as tasty or as attractively played as at other locations. But the manager's warmth and helpfulness were superior!

Went in for $5 pazookie Tuesday with my brother-in-law and ended up staying for dinner. Great service provided by our server Ruby. Unlimited soup and salad for me; personal pan pizza with salad for my b-i-l. He ended getting another mini pizza for happy hour. Food was great as always, service was excellent, and the restaurant is always clean. Highly recommended...Thumbs up!!!

Update. Even though we were told by the server that it was OK to bring our dog to the patio regardless of whether it was a service dog or not, we were turned away when we stopped by tonight. Driving from Fernley to Sparks now seems like such a waste. My fault for putting too much belief in an employee's answer. No dogs allowed on the patio...except in other BJ I've been to. Can no longer recommend this restaurant. Thumbs down...

Worst experience I've ever had here, food was brought out at separate time, server rarely came by and when she did, us not getting what we needed was our fault, floor manager clearly thought we couldn't afford our meal and treated us as such. Definitely not the same atmosphere from 2 years ago. Shame. Just spend the extra gas and go to the one in South Reno. They care a little more about their clientele.

I came here at 7pm on a Friday for my mom’s birthday dinner. It was busy with about a 30-minute wait, which was fine. We ordered a veggie pizza, calamari, prime rib, and fish and chips. When the prime rib arrived, it clearly wasn’t prime rib, it was a ribeye cooked well done (picture 1 and 5), even though I had ordered prime rib medium. I pointed this out to the server (Layne), who told me “that is prime rib, not sure what to say but I’ll send my manager.” About 10 minutes later, the manager came by. I explained the situation, and he said, “it looks like a prime rib to me, just a little overcooked, but I’ll be happy to get you a different piece.” Neither the server nor the manager offered an apology for the mix-up. As someone who knows the difference, the first plate was obviously a ribeye: firmer, harder texture, no outer “prime rib” cap, and cooked through. Prime rib is softer and has that distinct roast look and feel. The replacement plate was more like actual prime rib (picture 2), but by then the experience was already disappointing. On top of that, the fish and chips were overly salty, and so were the vegetables served with the prime rib. Service also felt rushed and careless. For example, when we asked for a box for the pizza, instead of helping or offering to pack it (as good servers usually do), Layne just tossed the box onto the table and walked away. That kind of attitude really stood out as rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, this was for my mom’s birthday. No one acknowledged it, no candle, no “happy birthday,” nothing when we asked to take a picture because it’s my mom birthday. The only thing that made her smile was that I gave her the free dessert that came with my prime rib. In the past, BJ’s would give a complimentary dessert with “Happy Birthday” written on the plate and a candle, which made the night feel special. Sadly, that tradition seems to be gone. Another issue, the new digital payment system is terrible. Being forced to scan a QR code to pay by phone is inconvenient and feels impersonal. What if an older guest doesn’t know how to scan a code or doesn’t want to pay on their phone? Whatever happened to the traditional method with an actual check and the option to pay at the cashier? Overall, the food was inconsistent, the service was rude and unprofessional, and the experience lacked the warmth and hospitality that used to make BJ’s stand out. The most surprising part was that both the server and manager didn’t seem to know (or admit) the difference between a ribeye and prime rib which is concerning for a restaurant serving both. Times have definitely changed here, and unfortunately, not for the better.

We were greeted and seated all within five minutes. We had an absolutely amazing server and experience. Our servers name is Kaylie(I hope I spelled it right) although she seemed to be having a hard day she still provided exceptional service. We ordered two margaritas and one fell, it was no biggie it happens. I know she felt really bad which we appreciated but we genuinely were unfazed, I've worked as a drink server and I know it happens to the best of us. She apologized and brought us a new one, quick solution. She allowed us to order for our kids first and had their food brought out pretty fast as they dramatically expressed how hungry they were. We then ordered our food it took a little longer but we weren't too worried about it. Once we got our food everyone made sure we had anything and everything we may have needed. While we were eating the manager went out of his way to come and apologize to us for the dropped drink and the wait for the adult meals, keep in mind not once did we complain about either situation. He let us know that they would be comping our 3 adult meals, needless to say it was a very nice gesture. Very friendly and welcoming environment, will definitely be returning. 10/10 service, we recommend this location.
