The sushi is great, just wish the servers were a little more attentive. Need to ask for refills on water.

The sushi here is excellent. The fish:rice ratio on the rolls is great, the fish tastes very fresh. I really enjoyed the Donald Duck nigiri as well as the many rolls.

Fish was old tasting. Was thin with too much rice.

Fish was old, the ingredients looked and tasted old. No flavor. Nice people but probably the worst sushi I’ve ever had.

A whole in the wall sort of spot that's got the best rolls in the area! Have never had a long wait for getting seated, though I don't recommend for a party of over 4 people in terms of space.

Hiroba Sushi is truly a hidden gem in the Sparks area and hands down our favorite sushi restaurant in Reno-Sparks area.

The all-you-can-eat sushi is not only delicious but thoughtfully prepared with perfectly portioned, bite-sized pieces. This attention to detail makes each roll so much more enjoyable to eat, allowing you to savor the flavors without feeling overwhelmed.

Their menu is incredibly extensive, offering a wide variety of options to satisfy every craving, from sushi and sashimi to creative specialty rolls and appetizers. It’s clear the chefs take pride in their work, as everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

For the best experience, I recommend visiting during a weekday when it’s less busy. You’ll have the chance to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere and take your time exploring all the fantastic options they have to offer.

Without a doubt, Hiroba Sushi is our go-to spot for sushi. If you’re a sushi lover looking for outstanding food, exceptional service, and an overall fantastic dining experience, look no further!

Food was a complete miss tonight 12/20
Came in Starving around 7:45 For a party of 2 & have always heard great things about this place, hence why we tried it tonight.
We were was sat right away & ordered Apps ( Mussels, Calamari)
Which were super cold and chewy.
Then ordered 4 rolls that were average at best (2/10.)
We got grossed out by the Quality of the food and Just asked for the tab.
$72 For below average sushi and apps for 2 people was a huge lesson we learned and wanted to share with everyone.
The service was good & fast, that was the only plus.
Besides that save your $ and go to Somewhere else. :(

The perfect spot for lunch or dinner! I've recently visited this charming mom-and-pop Japanese diner and have been absolutely delighted both times! Although it’s not an all-you-can-eat sushi place, this restaurant is a must-visit for sushi lovers. They are renowned for their unique black rice rolls, and the menu offers a wide variety of both sushi and non-sushi options, so there is a lot to choose from! They have great options like bento boxes which gives you a lot of food for a great price including things like veg tempura, miso soup, salad, rice, a sushi roll, and 2 additional entrees! The salmon teriyaki and chicken katsu were great.

The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the service was top-notch. There are lots of drinks to choose from including sake, beer, and wine. Tristan and Katie were excellent servers, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The managers are also very nice and friendly. The ambiance is fun and lively, with neon signs and fish kite decor adding to the fun atmosphere.

If you're planning to bring a group of 7 or more, I highly recommend calling ahead to make a reservation, which you can also do on the same day. They only have 4 booths available, tables, and a sushi bar. Overall, wonderful experience and I highly recommend.

I visited Hiroba Sushi on a Saturday evening and I knew something was off when it was empty not like it used to back when they were on Skyline. The mussels were served cold and hard and out of the shells. after being replaced, they were still cold, when I asked the waitress to remove them to make space on my table , she seemed upset and said I just cooked them, just walked away and offered no apology.

Shortly after, another staff member approached aggressively, without introducing herself, and asked, “Is there a problem with the food?” I explained the situation, but she interrupted to say, “They’re cold because of the sauce” and added, “Next time I’ll have to charge you.” I said I wasn’t looking to order more and right there and then my partner did not want to eat any more. Their attitudes were ugly and made an already frustrating experience worse.

The sushi was bland and lacked the quality I used to love when Hiroba was located on Skyline. On top of that, their pricing is very high, and they don’t offer child prices, which makes dining with family even less appealing. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

I don't know. It's a good deal to do "all you can" because if you don't, you'll be hungry as you walk out the door. The portions are very small, POLLY POCKET small. It does taste freshish (if that's a word), but it's definitely not the best sushi I've ever had.
Service was a bit slow, but we got everything we ordered. We didn't like that they were using the paper-check mark-what you want every time you want to order something. A new set of papers every time? Get with the times and save a tree or two and get an iPad.
Would I come again? 🤔 No. I'll take my chances and try a different place.

Kid-friendliness: There were other kids there and were treated very well.
