The server was decent. The sushi was not. The rolls were bland and not delicious. The nigiri was not particularly good. The worst part was the egregious use of sushi rice. It was literally 3-1 rice to fish ratio. I have no problem with rice. I think it's an important part of rolls, and nigiri. Amongst my friends and family, I am the person least likely to complain about "too much rice". The amount of rice in every roll and piece of nigiri was almost offensive. This is one of the best sushi places in the area. Service is great and food is always fresh.
The couple (assuming they are a couple and the owners?) always remember us every time we come in and make us feel like family!
We ate there once, it was excellent. Next time we ordered togo. You can not request anything different. We tried ordering a long roll and a tempura order that we asked no rice be included instead a few more crispy vegetables. The box had just the shrimp, undercooked and no tempura vegetables just a big bunch of steamed broccoli and the long roll tasted and looked worse than what we could have picked-up at Safeway next door for half the price.
