This is one of our favorite places to eat. The food and service is great. When we go in we are always treated by friendly staff. They make us feel like family.

The original owners have passed Las Trojes on to their nieces and nephews. And they are doing an amazing job! Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, the oxaca omelette and banana caramel French toast blew me away. I’m so excited to try all the new delicious things on the menu. What a great renewal of a restaurant that has been part of the Sparks community for over 30 years.

We went there and it was dead. Service was good. Food was okay. The bill was not on par to the food and drinks. Not a bad place for a quick bite.

Good mexican food in the Sparks area. Not the best in town, but convenient. However it seems the salsa has changed recently. I liked the older stuff better. This now is a bit to tomato tasting.

This food is NASTY. The salsa is tomato sauce with few pieces of chopped tomato, onion and one cilantro leaf. The beans were burnt and dry. Carne asada burritos looked like someone else already chewed them up and spit them into a flour tortilla. The Michiladas were watered down beer and tomato bouillon. Their food is fresh out a can that's been expired over a month.

I had high hopes when trying this restaurant for the first time. Very disappointed. Not because the Asada fries were $18, but because there was hardly ANY meat. Not exaggerating.
Literally only like two table-spoons of carne asada.
Otherwise still too expensive for that and taste was pretty mid at best.
And I asked for jalapeños which weren’t included. Not sure if i was charged for them.

An overlooked restaurant. I've had both breakfast and dinner there. Food is good, breakfast a little expensive. Chili rellenos are very good tacos not so much but still very edible. Just enough presence to make sure we were happy, but left us to enjoy our conversation and food.

This review is 100 percent based on service. After an hour and a half of waiting and eating I just left this restaurant furious. We walked in before their rush yet the patrons seated after us were served. We we never asked is we wanted a refill. We asked for extra butter for our food for that request to be ignored until after the second time we asked for butter. We came in with my small child and we never offered a drink for her yet all the other children that were seated with other parties were given drinks. I would have been a recurring customer because the food was decent, but now I will never come back. I'm not sure why we were treated this way but I will never go back to expirience the terrible service we expirienced.

I ordered chilaquiles, the green sauce was flavorful, not spicy to me. Yum

Is this under new management? This place use to be awesome but now all the old servers are gone and the food is meh. Sad to see it like this now.

*in reply to the owner Not a scammer your food was not as good as it used to be. Just because you don't like my review you attack me. I have 13 total reviews and 7 of them are great reviews. I only post to warn people not to waste their time going to places that don't serve good meals or where the service sucks. Fix your food and get your old servers back they were awesome. Not the lady Karen who has a TON of complaints. I didn't even comment on our service btw it wasn't good. Changing my review to 1 star since you want to argue instead of looking at all the reviews and fixing what's wrong!

First time here. Took a chance after reading the negative reviews. Not sure what they are complaining about. Was immediately greeted when entering the door and seated promptly for lunch. The server came over within 5 minutes to take my drink order. The Cadillac Margarita was delicious. One of the first I've enjoyed without ordering another shot of Grand Marnier.
Tried the Chile Relleno, comes with 2 tortillas (flour or corn), rice and beans. The plate was very hot and the food was hot. Everything was seasoned nicely without being overly dramatic.
Found out later the server was the owner, Jonathan. Nice to see a Hands-On owner. I do highly recommend this restaurant as I have been to 4 others in the area and was not impressed with them.
