This is one of the few locally owned coffee shops around that partners with other local makers - they serve Folk kombucha from Tahoe, pastries from Haven on Earth gluten free, etc. They have other locations, but this one right on the Marina is great for tourists and days out. They have a small dining room and patio, with counter service including beer wine. Their food menu has a vegan burrito and their vegan pastries are labeled

Light house coffee is nestled in the Sparks Marina area where you can eat/drink inside or out, both, while enjoying a view of the Marina and the mountain scape beyond. Although, I was expecting to have a cup o' Jo, I ended up having a delicious strawberry smoothie. I love a coffee shop with options. I'm going to bring Rocky, my shih-tzu dog, next time I go, as you can sit outside with your furry little friends. This will be my go-to coffee shop when I'm in Sparks...

PARK ON THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE PARKING LOT OR RISKED BEING TOWED.

I'm giving this place a temporary 5-star because what little I've had was fantastic. I had a hot mocha with peppermint and toasted marshmallow syrup. Coming from someone who spent the last 3 years in Seattle, this coffee tastes close to what I would expect it should—which is surprisingly hard to find around here. I'll update this review if my mind changes on that.
