They are the nicest people serving the best southern food

The service was great, very freindly , place was comfortable and spotless, brought me back too living in Texas, only one hic- hup I bought two Catfish Dinners one for Wednesday and another for Thursday ,they were both a little scarce 1 or 2 more catfishes would've been perfect next time I'm dining in to get my portions.

Always a warm friendly experience and delicious food, smothered pork chops were great and the ribs fall off the bone, okra is tasty and seasoned well!

I’m from Louisiana and I’ve not had food like this since leaving the south. Great job M&M!

Absolutely amazing all around. The catfish is superb, fried okra is to die for. Peach cobbler?! Yum!! I got the desert to go first time (we got full!) waited a couple hours to eat it - it still had that nice cobbler crisp to it without getting soggy. Super impressed!
The ribs? Fall off the bone tender and delicious. They even have alligator && frog.
We're from the south and this has been out golden spot every Saturday since we found them. (They're tucked in a corner of the shopping plaza - so you don't really see them from street view) they are all so amazing there && even remember who we are!
Service - amazing
Food - amazing
Price - maybe 20/30 a person (give or take) but *definitely* worth it!!

DELICIOUS!!! Tried this place on a whim and so glad we did. Ordered the fried chicken dinner, chicken strips, and one of the specials Jumbalia. Everything was tasty, service was friendly, would come back again!

A proper taste of the south, from the tea served in mason jars to the menu that features southern favorites like alligator, fried oyster po’boys, and red beans and rice. The people are so lovely, kind, and welcoming, too. Definitely recommend if you’re missing a taste of the South!

Let’s start with the seafood gumbo, the broth has a good flavor. The shrimp were way overcooked not sure what other seafood was in it, but it had flavor the smothered pork chops. That brown gravy is hideous. The pork chops themselves have no flavor very disappointing. The barbecued ribs were decent probably use some kind of commercial barbecue sauce and they came lukewarm at best catfish was Probably the best thing out of the three, although the portions are very small, the mashed potatoes and gravy with the same brown sauce Not good macaroni and cheese macaroni way overcooked probably commercial as well. Collard greens are decent. The coleslaw and a potato salad are probably commercial definitely not southern. The basic problem here is that most of food has no flavor. They’re not using spices. They’re not using salt or pepper. I don’t know as far as the ambience goes. The owners are there. they were playing Spanish music at one time and a southern kitchen. I don’t think this place would pass a southern. On the Flavor meter all the food I had was probably a two or three at the most. I think if you go, you’ll be very disappointed.
