The food is pretty good. Thier Kool-aid is fire. Their fried chicken is decent not great The gumbo is bland. Didn't feel like they let the Roux develop long enough. Would definitely be back though.

Ok so the wife and I were looking for some where to go to lunch. Found this gem and we were both glad we did. The place was busy I know why. The staff was super friendly and had a cool vibe. The food was so good and well seasoned. The fish was so yummy and so were the ribs. The fried oysters were good along with the hush puppies. Collard greens were some of the best I have had. We definitely will be back to this place and bring some friends.

I am supposed to comment about "Food, Service and Ambiance". OK, my comment is: Terrific. Like another commenter, I loved their Fried Okra as a side. My main reason to go there is for the Fried Catfish. Terrific and "Southern" to a "T". I feel sorry for Reno/Sparks citizens that have not experienced the warm and friendly atmosphere at M&M's, but sorrier still for them because the missed the main reason for trying out an unfamiliar restaurant in the first place: hunting for that "Diamond in the Rough" This is such a place. Don't miss it. Tired of franchised food, same old same old? This one break that mold. New Orleans style food here in Sparks, America!

Came w/ my daughter and I ordered the fish dinner. Catfish: out of control. Greens: will fw your grandma's. Cornbread: you gon eatcho' co"n bread? Mac&Cheese? The Mac&cheese here at M&Ms is the best that I've ever had in my life. And I'll say that in front of my mom, with conviction. Stop reading reviews. They only open until 6 on the weekend so y'all better get immediately into your vehicle and come out to Sparks. Not now but RIGHT now! Greatest and only authentic soul food in Reno. Don't deprive yourself of the greatest meal you've had all month. Ok? I'm 51 saying this and have lived everywhere from the east coast, down south to the west coast. So get dressed and let's go?!

& the only reason I ordered cause a client wanted some food from here & this is what happened & Now today I ordered smothered pork chop meal & a fish meal. Welp I didn't get the fish meal & the pick I posted is what the dasher sent to my phone it's clearly obvious I have one meal & kool aid & in the brown bag is a piece of of corn bread napkins & eating utensils. Door dash refused me a refund & I appealed the decision & I haven't heard anything yet but after the appeal answer my door dash says are over I'm closing the account & I will not patronize M & M's again. & I'm also light weight feeling maybe it's cause of my previous review. But ummmm ok.

We’ve eaten here two other times before today and really enjoyed the meal. We ordered lunch today as they opened at 11 am. That was a terrible mistake. The chicken was reheated from yesterday as it was hot in some places and cold in others and simply tasted like warmed up fried chicken. The greens were salty and cold -magazine warmed up. Sweet potatoes were very nice as was the freshly fried okra.For $55 I think we deserved fresh not reheated food. Also, be aware they charged us 3% to use a credit card without informing us of this. That is certainly their privilege to do so, but it seems they should inform us of this.Unfortunately, we will not be back. That is unfortunate as they are so warm and friendly.

Mac and cheese forsure is the worst iv ever had tastes like cafeteria style food, the mash potatoes are the same as the bag "just add water" grainny taste.. for the high prices first and last for me I know brands and seasonings like the back of my hand and this isn't proper southern I don't know if they having a bad time but.... this isn't gonna keep some of us coming back I apologize for leaving a bad review but I am true to my experiences at these local restaurants some are good some are rip offs
