Virginia was friendly and accommodating. Food was good and the lobster bisque was delicious.
Clearly not prepared to handle the inrush of customers following a concert. Had an 8:00 PM, reservation, arrived 10 minutes early, and could not get the hostess desk due to the huge number of walk-ins crowding the entrance. Asked the cashier how we could inform the hostess of our reservation and was told "just stand in line". 8:36 we were seated, 8:50 before we were spoken to by a server, shortly thereafter we received water. Reasonable food, expensive for the quality and service process was poor.
Our server was Vanessa. She was great! Very friendly and provided us with great service! She took our order with a smile. She checked on us twice; to see how our food was and to see if there was anything else we needed. Our Shrimp Scampi was delicious! Thank you!
The service was good. Food was excellent. We've been here before and will definitely come back again.
It was NYE so we expected to wait a little even though we had reservations. However it took 45 minutes for our drinks to come out, our pan roast didn't have much seafood, and it was incredibly hot in the restaurant. We couldn't wait to get out of there. Our waitress was nice, but she obviously was lacking help. They were not staffed appropriately for the holiday.
The quality of food is not what it used to be from years back. Dry clams. Sand. Sent it back. They replaced it with another dish, but of course charged anyway. Waitress was very gracious. A lot of noise from the kitchen staff. Not really jovial more Aggressive, complaining almost sounded like they were drunk. Unfortunately, we won't be going back to this icon of a restaurant.
We are Reno natives and have been enjoying oyster appetizers or dinners at the Oyster Bar since it was a stand-up bar located in the casino. Since the ownership/management change 10-15 years ago we have tried to continue to patronize this, one of our favorite “old Reno” establishments. Sadly the food quality has deteriorated over time, and this time was the most disappointing. Unfortunately we're not sure there will be a next-time.
For over 50 years, and multiple owners, the Nuggets Oyster Bar has maintained its unique menu and high standard of quality food and service that make it a reliable favorite for visitors from around the world. A recent visit with a well traveled local friend since college revealed that she had never been to the Oyster Bar. After enjoying a Pan Roast, her first, she made reservations for a return visit. It's a must treat for those visiting or living in our area.
Oyster bar just redid there menu and the Bang Bang shrimp is on point. Great job over the Chef Ken and Chef Josh.

We usually go to the steakhouse, but we were coming through at lunchtime, so we gave it a try. My husband ordered the fish and chips, and it was a huge portion. He said i could try it if I wanted to. I didnt act fast enough though, he scarfed the whole thing down before I was done with my shrimp cocktail (which was also good, shrimp were firm and fresh). So I personally don't know what it tasted like, but he said it was the best fish and chips he's had in his life.

Great dinner experience. Friendly and efficient staff. Food was delicious. Oysters on the half shell are always fresh and so good! They were busy but our server did a great job of keeping our drinks filled and making sure we had everything we needed. Really enjoyed our visit.
The atmosphere is endearing and I definitely enjoyed the food. The staff was kind and helpful when I had questions about the menu.

Clam chowder was mediocre, tasted like a can of Campbell's chowder. Oysters were bad. Sushi was typical Reno sushi you can get anywhere. Cioppino had rancid fish in it. Wait staff was too busy making themselves drinks at the bar to bother themselves with our table. Will never visit the casino again.

The waitress had a rude attitude, she was not helpful at all. Other staff was also rude, the food wasn't good. Would not recommend this restaurant at all.
