I'd have to say that the Black Bear Diner in Sparks, Nv. has been the Best we've been to. Everything we've ever had from B.B.D. has been consistantly quality, great tasting and served quickly by a person who cares about our dining experience. We do only go out to eat for Special occasions and B.B.D. makes it a Special memory every time. If you're passing through the Reno/Sparks area on Hwy 80 it's only 1 short block off the Hwy....you wont be disappointed. Whether you're alone or have the whole family...everyone will have a full belly and a great time.

Honestly my chicken and waffles weren't that good, but everything else was good and the waitress was so nice.
Was a bit disappointed this time around. We came in about 12:45 on a Sunday and expected the church crowd to have largely dispersed and they were. Service was slow, though, even though the restaurant was less than half full. My eggs came out over medium instead of scrambled. My wife's potatoes were undercooked. They brought her hash browns to make up for that but it was still disappointing. The pancakes were overdone and not just mine because three of us had them. We didn't get out of there until almost 2:30 because of the slow service. I think next time we'll go to the Reno location.

It was actually cheaper for two people to eat here then to go to KFC next door and it was pretty good portions and really great food also amazing service so I don't understand why anybody would choose fast food anymore there should be more blackbear diners unless terrible fast food places not even fast food service anymore when you can go to a sit down restaurant get your food faster cheaper and better food what's the point blackbear is ?

I swing through Reno regularly and I have eaten breakfast here two times in a row. The Skirt Steak breakfast is highly recommended. The bacon is the best I've ever had. It is well cooked but chewy and flavorful A +++
