What a wonderful and special experience this was! I got a large iced dirty chai, and it was delicious! All the baristas were welcoming and fast. I will definitely be visiting again.🥰

I honestly feel sad writing this review because the coffee itself is genuinely good, and I always try to support local businesses whenever I can.

However, after multiple visits and reading some of the owner responses online, I no longer feel comfortable supporting the business.

The pricing across all locations feels extremely high for locals. Paying $24 for two iced coffees is difficult to justify, even if the drinks themselves are good.

What bothered me more though was the atmosphere and professionalism. During one visit in Virginia City, I witnessed an elderly visitor walk toward a door because he wanted to look outside at the view. Since many businesses in Virginia City offer outdoor seating or viewing areas, it honestly seemed like an innocent assumption on his part.

Before he even opened the door, the owner reacted very harshly and loudly, warning him not to touch it because of fire code concerns. I completely understand businesses have rules and safety regulations, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily aggressive and uncomfortable for everyone around. It completely changed the atmosphere inside the shop.

If the door truly creates that serious of a liability issue, clearer signage or securing the door more effectively may help prevent situations like this in the future, especially for tourists or elderly visitors unfamiliar with the building.

I was also disappointed to read an owner response publicly directing a customer to another local coffee shop “more suitable for their budget.” Small local businesses are a huge part of what makes towns like Virginia City special, and I personally believe professionalism and mutual respect between neighboring businesses matter.

Again, this review is not about the quality of the coffee. The coffee is good. But kindness, professionalism, and the way customers and neighboring businesses are treated matter just as much as the product itself.

Do not miss out on this hidden gem. Some of the best coffee we have had. Creamer is made in house. They also have cranky sodas which were so yummy. You’ll find yourself wanting to go back just to talk to Larry. He really loves what he does and it shows. We just left and are already talking about our next visit. Thank you!!!!!!

The iced chai tea was the best I've ever had! A bit pricey, but well worth it!

When Larry handed me the dirty chai I had just ordered I was really struck by how liquid the whole cup seemed to be.
Not only was the entire cup liquid but the taste and temperature where very pleasant all the way to the bottom of the cup. I had never had a hot chai before that was so good that I became visibly angry when I reached the end of the cup! I threw the empty vessel on the western style boardwalk and resumed my tourism activities.

A little pricey but the cinnamon caramel white mocha is AMAZING. The two gentlemen behind the counter were very pleasant and let us stay and hang out with our drinks even though they had technically closed.
