The place is a shell of what it once was. The atmosphere has completely changed, the food is horrible and overpriced. It was once my favorite restaurant in town but now I will never step foot in that establishment again.

Get the ribs, never a disappointment!!

Good service, served promptly, friendly waitress, delicious food! Will stop here again if im ever passing thru

The young lady was nice and apologized alot. I didn't get a good vibe from the cook I'm assuming , she was about to tell me no more ribs and he said he had some no worries. OK that's fine. So I sit and wait for maybe about 8 to 10 min. When I leave I start eating my food , flavor of the ribs is on point. But they were so tuff . Not tender , but maybe that's what happens when you either put them in the fridge or freezer I'm assuming and try to serve them to ur guest. It was ice cold in the middle if the ribs . For 50 dollars I feel like I was ripped off and didn't even get my side that was suppose to be included. I will not be back that's for sure

The Pig is a fantastic barbecue restaurant that has become our go-to spot in Winnemucca. It has a sports bar feel, which isn't for everyone, but the food is incredible! The recipes are simple and brilliantly executed. With only a few ingredients, the meat has to shine and shine it does! Pick anything! It's phenomenal!

First time here did not know where to eat i bbg alot and pay attention to my heat order wings where very cold when they come out took awhile to flag staff down she afford to re heat them asked for new ones she came back and said the sauce they put on them is cold that's why they feel that way while new ones came out I think they where the same tasted burnt left a tasted in my mouth for hours she said couldn't comp wings cause owner wasn't there I said you better call then then she came back with the comp and even ask if I want my change back real bad service

Pretty happy with the quality of food, proportions, pricing, and customer service. Definitely plan to stop by again when ever we're traveling thru the area. The inside of the restaurant had a lot of fun antique things to look at and conversation pieces all over the wall. Definitely recommend!

food here is good and cheap, but I think my family and I won't ever stop here again.
We come thru here a few times a year on our way to see family. The last few times we have stayed in Winnemucca we have got to The Pig with more than an hour before they close (according google) and they are already closed.

Yeah sure their door has no closing time posted but truthfully, that's bullshit and you've lost customers.

I have been driving past this place for a couple of years and finally got a chance to stop by (the do a lot of billboards along hwy 95 and I80.
Price to quality was what I expected. The pulled pork was good, not tough or dry, they give you three types of sauces they put on (enough for flavor not doused), then you put on the final amount. I had the beans as my side, where they good? They were decent, a bit on the runny side for my preference (trying to cut out grease so fried stuff is off the table), not quite what i expected, but i would have them again. Will I go back? Absolutely, I love bbq, and finding bbq where I can park a semi within reasonable walking distance is a plus.

Parking: Free parking, lots of it. They had a car show going on so that ate up a bunch, still had plenty.

Kid-friendliness: They do have a family section so you can take everyone

I'm a truckdriver. I've been all over the country. This is the worst BBQ I've had anywhere. The ribs were tough and had the worst seasoning I've ever had. The waitress had the worst attitude I ever encountered. She didn't smile she did not want to be there.one good thing they had was the potato salad. The rest went on to the garbage.

I had a Cuban sandwich, and it was delicious! It was pulled pork, ham, cheese, pickles, and mustard. Great combo of flavors. Their ribs were great too.

This is a simple down to earth BBQ place with good food and service. We had chicken wings, ribs, and pigtail fries. They were very good. I thought the wings were better than the ribs which were meaty, I just thought the rub was a bit too heavy in Cayenne flavor for me. They have a good assortment of sauces and the fries were so nice and crispy. The way I like them!! Prices here are very reasonable and the service was friendly and attentive. Would choose dinner here again, if we are back in the area.

The server forgot to put our order in. We were on a motorcycle so we had to eat our food when we got to Reno. Cold and squishy.

I should have known better, but thought that I would give it a shot. The waiter was very nice, I can say that about the place. As far as the food, the french fries were good. My wife and I also split a half rack of ribs and half a chicken. This was by far the worst bbq that I have ever had. Chicken was very dry and tasted freezer burnt. Ribs were tender but very dry and didn't have much smoke flavor to them - the dry rub was overwhelming and nasty. Chili tasted mostly like pepper, so we didn't eat much of it. Not sure how you mess bbq up this bad, but this place seems to have mastered it.

Got the brisket, and absolutely zero bbq flavor. Maybe this is Nevada style, and I'm being biased because I am from the south where making good BBQ is like practicing religion, but this was horrible. Fries were soggy and the beans were more like bean soup - and tasteless. Service was good. Will not be returning.
