Friendly staff. Great food. Everything you would want in a small town store.
Always stop there when I'm in the area. Can be a little pricey but nothing to outrageous. Decent food and a good selection of stuff. They do sell beer and stuff.
Quaint little place.
Beautiful Store! Wonderful selection of items including cozy clothing, local lotions and soaps. Not to mention the kids toys, seasonal summer supplies and nick nacks. There is a cafe inside where you can sit down; as well as baked goods, coffee bar, and a deli counter to grab and go enjoy your time on the lake! Will be returning again soon.
I recently retained the services of Adirondack General Store to cater my wife’s 70th birthday party. A family member had recommended Adirondack General Store to us, and we could not have been more pleased with the results. The party was an overwhelming success. From the first moment I spoke with owner Diane Cain, her skills, guidance, patience and warmth were noted and appreciated. The food provided was absolutely incredible and far exceeded all expectations. It was sumptuous, delicious, and tasty, and prepared with all fresh ingredients. Our guests raved about the quality of the food, and I’m embarrassed to say that I may have over eaten. From Penne alla vodka, shrimp scampi, chicken and meatball Parmesan, chicken tenders and Buffalo wings, followed by a home-made ice-cream cake and an incredible dessert platter, there was sufficient food to feed an army with left overs. Adele, our server, was a joy and we now consider her part of our family. She not only set up all of the food dishes, she served and made sure each guest was treated like royalty. I encourage you to contact Adirondack General Store for all your catering needs, as this party was one for the books!

This is certainly a hidden gem! The food was AMAZING, as well as the owners and staff. My wife and I came to the area to celebrate 25th anniversary. They sold us on prime rib and eggs. We weren't even hungry. It was wonderful. We came back to try something else, corn beef & hash. Just great. The best was the grilled/roasted croissant.
A great store with a variety of items and a high-quality deli. It’s the only store in the hamlet of Adirondack, and it makes a great mid-way stop if you’re cycling around Schroon Lake starting in the downtown of the hamlet of Schroon Lake.
Great soup and sandwich lunch today with lots of friendliness and care.
Our first time there. It's cold out, and as soon as we walked in, I was thinking our friends found a Hallmark movie filming location. A wood stove was heating in the middle of the store. Clean and well layout considering it's an old, well maintained building and products neatly shelved. They introduced us here for breakfast. It was a wonderful experience. The food was great for the price. Our waitress even asked how we like our food cooked, specifically hashbrowns, cornbeef-hash well done, crispy, or just done? I felt like I was home, and Aunt May was treating us. A further looked through the store after breakfast, I found they have a deli and food items conveniently there. It was a pleasant experience ☺️. I highly recommend a visit.
