Last night was truly a wonderful dining experience - fantastic food, drinks, vibe, and exceptional service from Sergio and his team. The table side bananas foster is a must. We did not feel rushed at all which was a pleasant surprise in this time. It was not a cheap meal by any means but it was worth every penny and a justifiable splurge to celebrate an Occasion.

At Angelo's 677 Prime in Albany, New York, the evening began with a vivid flourish: the Dragon's Breath mocktail, a jewel-toned elixir of pomegranate, dragon fruit, lychee, and lime, anchored by fresh mint. What might have simply been sweet proved instead to be nuanced and invigorating, with just enough acidity to wake the palate without overwhelming it. The surf and turf tempura roll followed, a clever intersection of indulgence and playfulness. Steak and lobster folded into creamy cheese, scallions, sweet soy, and a sharp chili-wasabi aioli. Each bite delivered a satisfying crunch followed by a rich, savory finish. It's a roll that doesn't merely bridge land and sea, but does so with a certain swagger. Then came the main event: a 6 oz Kagoshima A5 Wagyu fillet, seared to indulgent perfection, melting on contact, its richness subtly mirrored by a butter-poached Canadian lobster tail. The peppercorn cream sauce provided the right contrast, warm, aromatic, and precise. Charred heirloom carrots and parsnips added depth and earthiness, while the maple tahini and dukkah lent the dish both sweetness and spice, punctuated by the gentle heat of Aleppo chili flakes. Dessert was less of a course and more of a coda. Rum raisin bread pudding drenched in dark rum, layered with salted caramel and paired with maple walnut ice cream. A classic reimagined without fanfare but with remarkable balance. A cappuccino accompanied, naturally, as a final grounding note to a well-composed symphony. Service, led by Alejandro, matched the kitchen's finesse. Attentive, perceptive, and quietly orchestrated. Timing was impeccable, interaction never intrusive.

Overall good NYE at 677. DJ was entertaining. Unhappy being seated behind a wall under a cow skull. I was dressed professionally and Could not be a part of the celebration i was looking forward to.. DJ Sutton had good selections. Crowd sounded happy. Bread and sangria were great. Salad and baked potatoes flawless. Steak really tough and had to be sliced paper thin to eat. NYS was ordered. Definitely overpriced and could be bought with a higher quality at the grocery store. Cheesecake had a taste morelike canned condensed milk than cream cheese. Atmosphere is quaint. Overall no complaints other than being isolated and overcharged.

The Good: Steaks were Ok Sides were Ok Service was Very Good Dessert was Amazing The Bad: Steaks and sides were just Ok Some of our steaks came came out at the wrong temperature Pricier than better steak houses near us (namely Ruth's Chris) My family went here for a pre-holiday meal in December. It was our first time coming here in about 5 years. We will probably wait another 5 before coming back. Our server was very good, and the steaks were OK, but we found we liked the steaks at other nearby steakhouses better (Ruth's Chris and Duke's Chophouse). The biggest issue here is they cooked my wife's and my steak at the wrong temperature. My wife ordered Rare and Received Medium; I ordered Medium and Received Rare. And we both had 2 different cuts. I said something about my steak which they promptly fixed, but this should not happen at such an upscale place for the price. We had the Banana Foster Dessert which was great. Overall, dinner for 3 of us came to about $500.

Our waitress Jon make a big difference in our service. We have come several times but he made a big difference with our service.

Came in for a special occasion we have come here multiple times in the past. Although the ambience and overall scene was nice this time, our food and service was just average. Our steaks came out cold. It looked like they had been sitting waiting to be served for a while And everything was just not completed with the quality that you would expect for a fairly expensive dinner.

Having been to Prime 2 times before I had high expectations from previous good experiences. We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday so i really was hoping it would be a stellar meal. The service was very slow-it took almost 30 minutes just to get drinks and bread. I'm gluten free and thank goodness I know what I can and cannot eat because the staff almost glutened me due to lack of attention to detail and knowledge of what ingredients contain it or not. I asked about the lamb shank that said it is braised in Guinness beer. Knowing it would be a long shot, I asked to see if I could have it. The server said he was going to as the kitchen, came back about 10 mins later and said it was fine. When I pressed him about it and said, are you sure, because Guinness contains wheat, he said ok let me go double check and came back again some time later confirming that I was correct and in fact could not eat it. The first time he asked the manager-why you'd ask someone who's not even cooking the food I don't understand. So if you have any food allergies make sure you know what you're talking about because it seems quite easy to get allergens in your food if you're not careful. I also had to ask for oil when my dry gluten free rolls came out-they didnt even offer oil or butter even though they gave it to my husband on his bread without asking. We ended up ordering the porterhouse for 2 which was good but lacked salt-everything did. The potato wedges also lacked salt which I had to ask for. The previous times I've dined there the servers seemed much more knowledgeable about the menu and much more attentive. The mocktail I had was delightful and overall the food was good, but not amazing-which the prices you pay for it should require it to be.

677 Prime is the best stakehouse in our area. They have excellent entrees with yummy appetizers and desserts. My son always picks 677 for any special occasion that warrants a splurge. Last night was his 12th birthday and they made him feel like royalty. Shout out to Jon, our server who was super knowledgable and gave exceptional suggestions for both food and wine. He added in some special surprises like brining champagne/ginger ale in flutes to have a family birthday toast, bringing a surprise lamb ragu course, and sending out a really cool sparkler with my son's dessert. Special shout out to Alejandro who was the busser, I believe. He made our son a special mocktail with boba in it and brought out the dessert with 3 candles and a sparkler. He also refresned the hot stone and was super fun and kind to the birthday boy. The food is amazing at 677 but the service is what makes them shine.

Dinner at 677 Prime is always a special event. Living in Saratoga NY we always dine at 677 when we attend an event at the Palace Theater.

Honestly, one of the top 2 or 3 steaks I have ever had. Has to be the best in the area, at least for us. My wife had the salmon, I had the cowboy steak, some grilled jumbo shrimp, and we split the lobster Mac and cheese. We finished everything except the lobster Mac and cheese, although we dented it, but we brought that home. 2 of our lovely children, who are in their early-20s, got into an argument because neither wanted to split it with the other, it was that good. Loved the piano music and the lighting, and the well-lit menus were a nice surprise. Definitely heading back, excellent date night destination.

This place is definitely what you call fine dining. We did make a reservation. They do have valet parking or if you choose you can park on the street. Upon entry you can do coat check. Upon entry we were greater immediately and taken to our table. Shout out to our server Alejandro for a pleasureable dining experience. Just remember you are paying for an experience. The menu lights up when you open it.. Now that's top tier.. Food is great the only down side is you pay for each item you add to your dish. I would highly recommend this place. I will definitely be going back.

This place is definitely what you call fine dining. First let me start out by saying thank you to our server Alejandro he was very helpful and attentive all night. The ambiance set the tone: warm, elegant and intentionally designed to make every guest feel like a star of a well crafted culinary experience. Each dish was flavored with precision and care. You can tell the Chefs puts heart and artistry into every element. Overall, the fine dining experience was more than a meal- it was a journey. I'd recommend 677 Prime to anyone looking for not just dinner, but an extraordinary moment worth savoring.

677 Prime is a great restaurant--no doubt about that. The food, service, selection--all outstanding. The ambiance is fine, though some spaces are a little crowded...no big deal there. Rating the value is hard with a steak house--we were there with another couple and all four of us were very impressed with everything, so maybe the price is sort of irrelevant. Everybody knows it's a pricey place, so just be sure you know what you're getting into. As always. We recommend 677 Prime highly--nice job!
