We had delish cocktails & even better meals. Upbeat but not intrusive atmosphere we enjoyed. Looking forward to returning soon.

Food was excellent, waitstaff was excellent, ambience is funky. Our only complaint was the music was so loud we could not hear each other or the server.

Tasty fresh food, friendly attentive service, delicious desserts and you can't beat the $5 margaritas offered during happy hour! Loved our experience at Ama Cocina!

I had Ama Cocina take out which was divine so when my husband and I decided to go out for our anniversary this was such an obvious choice. I'm so glad we came — the food and service were impeccable. I had the birria tacos and my husband had the carne asada and we split a pitcher of margaritas. We also had the chocolate churros for dessert. SO good. Can't wait to eat here again!

Number one spot in NYS my opinion!! Great prices and the nachos are the best!! Great management and staff !!

I have the most incredible carnita bowl. I travel for work and Mexican is usually a safe bet for GF and DF folks, everything is crazy tasteful. Will be back anytime I am in Albany

Hands down one of the best chicken burritos I've ever experienced. Pollo Adobo Dorato, to be specific. Coated in red sauce, with some fresh hot sauce to boot and a little crema fresca. Omg. So good.

We also got a Vegetarian Mexican Pizza, I'm told it was one of the best ever. But I never made it that far.

Chips and salsa for the table was also outstanding and FRESH!!

Staff was great, things moved quickly but we never felt rushed.

We did book a table about 30 min before we got there. Not a bad idea on busy nights as there aren't a ton of tables, especially for larger parties.

If I'm ever in the area again, I'll def be back.

My husband and I went to dinner on a Friday night and, yes, the music was a little too loud. However, we enjoyed the festive vibe and just accepted the fact that we would have to talk a little louder than we normally do. The signature guacamole was the best guacamole I have ever had, and my carne asada tacos were delicious. The steak was tender, and it came out without cilantro and with jalapenos added, as I requested. The cherry margarita was more cherry than tequila but still really good. We're looking forward to returning someday!

Oh my goodness!!! I had the BEST Mexican pizza Friday night. The barbacoa was so tender and all the other ingredients were as fresh as if they had just come off the plant. I’m already planning to go back soon to have it again. Would recommend this place 100%!!!

Easily the best Hispanic food in the capital region. Even things my wife and I normally hate in food, are excellent here. (e.g., my wife usually hates uncooked onions but she still loves the pickled ones they use) 😁

Great little spot. Was very busy and order was slightly wrong, but not shocked as it was so packed. Food was good regardless

Went here on a Friday and was very excited to try based on all the outstanding reviews. I would sum it up as good but not great. I was a little nervous when we walked in because the floors were very dirty. Our waitress was great. Super attentive and accommodating to requests.
The margarita was pretty good but not amazing (also very small with lots of ice) and the guac was delicious. Just too little for the amount of chips which is typical. The tuna tostado was very disappointing. Little to no tuna to speak of in itty bitty chunks. Maybe just not the best choice for this place? Oh and the music was super loud so a little hard to talk.

Food was delicious as always and they were very accommodating to our large group of kids and adults. Get the churros!!

The food was amazing and came out pretty quickly. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The only problem I had was the perfume/cologne some of the staff were wearing. I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell and found the scents distracting and cloying which kept me from enjoying my food 100%. Also the music (a live DJ) was so loud we couldn't really talk. Other than that it was a great meal.

Cocktails were real good. Happy hour margs were $5!
