I came with my friend and we had a wonderful experience! I saw a review online from a food critic and had to come in and see for myself! The food was amazing and the drinks were flowing! We sat at the bar and had a great time with the bartender! He was entertaining and funny! I will be returning!

I came here for the first time with a few friends. The atmosphere was somewhat cozy and the food was good but the service was not! Our waitress was slow and couldn’t be found when needed. The food was delivered by a young man and the waitress NEVER came over to check if all was okay. One person at our table had an issue with her dinner but the waitress was nowhere to be found. I had to get up and ask where she was! She did not come over until we were done and ready for the check. Honestly, I have waitressed on and off for years and have always checked in on my customers a few times. Also, I thought it was odd that an Italian restaurant does not have spaghetti or angel hair as choices? Only linguine or penne were offered.

Honestly one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a while. My pasta came out completely wrong and when it finally arrived, it was watery and soupy instead of how it should have been prepared. For the price point, I expected so much more — I’ve eaten at incredible spots in NYC that were not only more affordable but also far better in both flavor and quality. To make things worse, the service was careless from start to finish. Definitely not worth the money or the time.

Had an incredible meal last night at Cafe Calabria. The salmon piccata special with basil infused risotto and broccolini was one of the most well balanced dinners I’ve ever had. Very flavorful but without being one note or overpowering. It was a very delicately done dish that I extremely appreciated and enjoyed.

Absolutely awful service. I was so excited to come here after following them on instagram. I sat down at 5:37 there was not a lot of people at all. I have a 10 month old. We only ordered pasta. Not even meat. It was 6:39 and still no food. Waitress did not even come over to check on us, refill our drinks, I had to leave without me or my son even eating bc everyone knows a 10 month old can only sit for so long. I think an over for just pasta is a long enough time. I walked out disappointed as hell and hungry as hell with a crying baby. Will not be returning

A very good friend of mine suggested I visit this restaurant during my trip to Albany and I can say I have no regrets!! The staff was very polite and welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing…. But the real reason for writing this review is to say that the dishes served are amazing! Looking around, I witnessed people savoring every bite and found myself doing the same thing. I ordered the clams over linguine in a white wine sauce. Absolutely one of the best Italian dishes I’ve ever had. The portion was very generous and price was very reasonable. The next time I’m in Albany, I know without a doubt I’ll visit Cafe Calabria again. Thanks to the owners and staff for a great dining experience!!!

So my Sister was in search of a place to celebrate her Birthday. She had been to a few spots and we ended up here. It was about 16 of us. All ladies! They set us up upstairs we had our own space. I arrived first and was greeted with a smile and a huge welcome. The owner Sandra Amazing! Food was outstanding! I actually created my own dish. Penne pasta, with shrimp, spinach and vodka sauce! So good. We played a few games and we even included our waitress! What a time we had! Of and by the way there was a Bluetooth available for us to utilize as well. Highly recommended!!!
