Took my girlfriend there on Friday night for her birthday. She got the Chicken Francese which was excellent and instead of me going to my go to which is Veal Parmesan I went with a special of the night which was a 20 oz bone in Veal Chop. I have never tried that before and always wanted to and they did not disappoint and it was out of this world. The only thing that I wish is that they should’ve told me that the entrée(special)was $75.95. Most of their entrées are in the $30’s range so I assumed this was no different. I actually asked the waiter if it was a misprint when I received the bill. I didn’t argue about it because it is what it is. I just feel when something is that much more expensive than their normal entrées on the menu they should probably give the people a heads up on the cost. And on top of that never acknowledged my girlfriends birthday( when I let them know when I made the reservations )or responded to my review.
First time visiting Cafe Italia for my wife and I on our 37 year anniversary. Very busy and great service. Menu has lots of options. We will be back in the future!
Everything was sooo good! Meatballs were amazing, great service.. delicious
Very attentive service with very good to great food.... highly recommend
Amazing service. Great food. Recommend the black Sea bass. And the Lucciano(chicken),so much flavor and its so tender. The pasta is well seasoned. Had the Italian ricotta cheese cake and it was superb! Nothing but great things to say about this place. We will be back. Sarah, Deb and Linda are AMAZING!
Had my bachelor dinner last night. Besides being a bit noisy it was quite a memorable occasion. The appetizers and entrees were top notch. I had the chicken francese. Big and well crafted portion. Service was prompt and courteous. No complaints.
The food and the service are exceptional and over the top every time. They clearly love their patrons and producing high quality food. Great energy in the dining room
everything you loved about the old caffe times 20. maria and the fam are absolutely killing it

I have been going to Cafe Italia now for almost 20 years at the old location. The food, service, and atmosphere has always been and enjoyable experience.
I could not wait to try the new home of Cafe Italia in Guilderland formallly Tesoro's, which was another great italian restuarant. This was my birthday and what a great way to celebrate.
When we arrived at Cafe Italia, it was in full service. The place was filled to the max with patrons. Our reservation was for 5:30 pm and was seated just around 6pm. (Saturday)
When the table was ready we were seated and the location of our table was extremely dissapointing. We were approximately 4 feet from the entrance and guest service.
The place was extremely loud and you could not hear yourself talk. People were brushing against our table while either being seated or just leaving. There was NO WIGGLE on either side of our table. My guests beverage was almost dumped into her lap.
Once our drinks and app's arrived,we then place our dinner order as the waiter seemed anxious to get the order in.
Our appitizer was just about finished when our main meal arrivered. Not much time to savor the delicious mussels that were served for the appitizer.
By this time we were very dissapointed in our seating location, noise, and no atmosphere we came to enjoy from a great italian establishment.
The sooner we ate the sooner we would be able to get out of the hectic seating loction by the entrance door and guest services.
Basically the tables were so crammed together there was no way one could enjoy themselves.
Our main meal was served and we were not dissapointed. I had the Veal Sorento and my guest who accompanied me had the Chicken Francese. Both were cooked to perfection. A very good choice for our dinner meal.
Our thoughts at this point was to leave. But, how can I leave without having a birthday dessert. The Ricotta Cheese cake was our choice. Simply delicious.
In closing, the disapointment of what "ALL" of Cafe Italia is known for was not met at this time.
They are still going through growing pains so to speak. The new location is more then double in size compared to the Central Ave location. So much needs to be done so it will be enjoyable and not just a stop for dinner.

I never leave reviews but this was something I couldn't let go. I was very unhappy tonight.
Took my daughter for her birthday and was very disappointed.
The place was so loud we couldn't talk to each other. It took an hour to get our apps and then we were told they were out of one that we ordered. It took another hour to get dinners. They came out one at a time. Took forever. Food was just ok. Staff was overwhelmed.
My daughter couldn't get what she wanted for dessert because they ran out of more then half the dessert menu.
Will never go back. Much better Italian restaurants in Albany. No need to go here.

We opted to dine outdoors on the strip mall sidewalk as it was quite noisy inside.

9/21/24. Reservations were made three weeks in advance as it was for a birthday celebration. The noise level was ridiculous. We ordered our wine and the waiter also wanted our app and entree choices. I specifically asked each course be spaced apart and our waiter said "Of course". While eating our apps, two of four dinners were brought out missing the pasta sides. We asked about the pasta and the waiter said they were cooking it. Seriously?? It came out 15 minutes later as our family had practically finished their entrees. The "Carbonara" was not as described on the menu. It was loaded with breadcrumbs (not an ingredient in authentic Carbonara.) I would like to compliment the Chef on the Special, Veal and Peppers, which was outstanding. Our waiter never came to check on us and the staff were rude, reaching over us to clear dishes while we were eating. Most desserts were unavailable and this was before 8 PM. It was $45 for an $18 bottle of wine. Of course you expect it to be overpriced, but almost tripled? The whole experience was so disappointing, especially after dining at their original restaurant. Practically all 5 star reviews were dated from one to eight years ago and now we completely understand why. Will not be returning.
