Best Mexican in Albany
The food was great! The service was quick and efficient and the server was attentive.
Incredible Mexican food and extremely friendly owner.I will be making a point to return here and I believe it may be the best Mexican food in the capital region.
Prices were very reasonable and the food had an authentic flavor to it. Service was warm and welcoming. They don't have a child's menu, but they do have soft tacos and quesadillas for the younger palate.

A little pricey, but absolutely worth it.
Come hungry because El Mariachi serves generous portions of traditional, deeply satisfying Mexican fare. The enchiladas banderas ($18.95 plus tax) was a lip-smacking trio of beef, chicken and cheese. The accompanying rice and beans were so flavorful. If you love mole, I recommend the rebosos con mole ($11.95) appetizer. The orders came out promptly. The restaurant is a bit cramped but you won’t really mind because the food is so good.

I got takeout. 30 bucks for a mediocre albeit giant burrito that wasn’t prepared the way I asked, twice! I’ve had better cheaper in Manhattan!

Service was good, nice location and the inside is fine enough. Food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Out of the few fishes we tried they were all sort of lacking. It wasn't bad, just not great.
