Dirty, unprofessional establishment.
The treatment of some people here was absurd! Hear of the security team being wayy too aggressive and overly pushy towards black women, wouldn’t want anyone I know to be treated this way, be forewarned if debating on going…
Literally had my friend buy a section and threw him out shortly after. Security was very aggressive when I came to their defense then pushed me, a woman out the door when it wasn’t necessary- nobody was raising their voice or being violent. Insensitively rude. Would never return again ❕
Fuze box was always the safe space for us misfits, outcasts and freaks. This was the only place us goth and punks had, and now it's gone. The new owner has no concept of what this place was or what it meant and has changed it entirely, just a slap in the face to those who made this place famous and kept it alive for decades. Fuze Box wouldn't exist without the outcasts. So many local clubs and hotspots, but this was the only one we had.
I've been to Fuze Box one other time since the current owner has purchased this property. Personally I am not a fan of the layout but I think it is a great little place to have events. I love that it gives that club feel from back in the day. I visited fuse box on Halloween and had a great time with my friend. She unfortunately lost her phone for a total of about 20-25 minutes and we were getting ready to call the quits and head home. On the way out we spoke with security guard named Jeano (no clue how he spells it) and he had advised that we checked the bartender and the DJ booth which we had done already. After, Instead of going home we went inside for about 10 more minutes to dance and that's when the security guard came back with the phone. He found it in a place where we had not gone inside of the club but we were ever so grateful to get the phone back. I think the establishment is professional and I'm happy that it didn't take 5 years to get a drink :-) Thanks Craig ☺️
Not a place for straight people. No one wanted to serve me a drink
Always a great time safe and good music !
What time do they open
QE2 lives forever. Then Fuze box...now a bit of everything. Iconic staple of the music scene in Albany ny. Lots of history.
Not what it used to be - used to be an inclusive scene where even if you didn't know anyone someone would talk to you - can be overcrowded but they'll keep letting people in - security isn't helpful when needed ( in my instance )

Great little venue. Brings back a lot of memories.
Great place for live music
Great poetry event hosted by Lucid Voices at the Fuze Box. I enjoyed the different styles of all the artists that performed. The topic love and history was a good selection, the capital region needs more of this!
Not the same no longer a gay mixed crowd bar sad because there's none mostly a hip hop bar now not sure just very different and expensive 12 dollars for a drink that's not made too well also the bathrooms don't lock bring a friend or risk being sexually assaulted it's so loud no one will hear your screams
The place is kinda small but it was nice and the drink prices are good.
