I have been here numerous times and have never been disappointed. Delicious. Can't wait to go back again. I've been in the hospital so won't be there for a while tho.

Grappa 72 has always been my favorite. ❤️here’s why. I hadn’t been in awhile- used to go frequently, so I grabbed a to-go order of their excellent fettuccini bolognese and some bruschetta to take home after a very long drive- ❤️❤️❤️and had a glass of wine at their friendly and comfortable bar while I waited. It’s 100 degrees outside- so I wasn’t dressed (shorts and an ocean city tee lol) but it was early.. so I popped in to wait for my order. From reception to bar to the chef popping out with my order- to the other lovely guests who were popping in as well and enjoying banter and kind conversation.. the bartender primo making everyone happy- I can’t tell you how much that atmosphere warms my soul. Good people, great food, no pretensions, phenomenal service.. and I can attest from so many previous visits- a warm and inviting dining room where when they have music you never want to leave. Soooo well done from every aspect. Thanks Grappa!!! I’ll be back soon, I’ve missed you while I’ve been away! Did I mention the bolognese? It’s better than my own- and that’s saying a lot! 😉Sincerely, Mary

We went here because of the name and discovered a wonderful restaurant and had a fabulous meal. Extensive menu that made it hard to pick out our order because they sounded so good! Great wine list too, and quite affordable over all. Don’t let the location in a small strip mall fool you, this is a great restaurant and we will definitely return!

Grappa '72 is equal in quality to any restaurant , visited from personal experience, from Milan to Sicily, Italy. Grappa has mouth watering, authentic Italian food ,often cooked by the owner,Armond. My husband and I drive 67 miles (back and forth from Saratoga) to treat ourselves to the Vitello '72 once and sometimes twice a month. Dining inside is a special treat . As you walk in the door you are greeted by friendly faces that bring you to your beautifully covered table setting The staff is courteous and knowledgeable about the food choices and are always attentive. My favorite dish is the Vitello Alla '72, The meat is so tender and presented in a generous portion with the most creamy risotto that I have ever tasted. The Osso Buco and the unique pasta dishes are unique in flavor and will satisfy any appetite. One should also try an antipasti and mouth watering desert to make this meal a superior event! "Buon Appetito"

We have met a friend at Grappa 72 in the past and it has become a favorite and our go-to place for a lovely dinner. There are plenty of options on the menu and always excellent specials. We were all delighted with our meals. The food was delicious, the service perfect and accommodating, the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We love this restaurant !

we always had good experiences in the past but recent visit was not. Dinner and dessert took total of 4hrs. There was too much time in between appetizer and entree. After finishing entrees I eventually had to ask another waiter if someone could please take our dessert order. Our waiter seemed out if sorts entire time. My salmon was burnt and one end was impossible to chew. Won't be going back again.

We had another lovely
birthday dinner in late December. Always happy to go there.

Band way way too loud, made talking impossible. Too much too long to get drinks and be served dinner, at least 1.5 hrs to food. But food was exceptional

We chose these restaurant as a post wedding dinner for a large party. There was very attendant management and wait staff. We were suggested a chianti reserve wine which was excellent. Our appetizers including bruschetta, calamari fritti, melanzana, and caprese salad were generous and finely done. Many chose the vongole which had a good portion of claims, and pasta perfectly al dente for the main course.

Everything on the menu here is fabulous. I've been a customer since they opened. The calamari just melts in your mouth. They make every dinner an experience

We went there for a family gathering,we had a party of 12 people,we haven’t seen some of our family in sometime so we had a lot of catching up to do.The food was Ok but there are much better Italian restaurants in our area that I would recommend over this restaurant. The owner kept coming by our table and staring at us as if to say,OK you’ve been here long enough you can leave. He made us feel very uncomfortable,we were buying drinks, coffee and dessert, we spent a lot of money there, but because of the owner making us feel so uncomfortable we will not be going back there.

It took 2 hours from being seated to receive 5 out of 6 meals and 15 minutes later, the 6th meal….and they were not hot. Three of us ordered a special, to be told 20 minutes later they were out of it. All reordered a substitute entree but had to flag down waitress who appeared to forget about us, after giving us menus again to rechoose. Another 20 minutes later, we were told they were out of potatoes. Meanwhile we were filling up on bread and drinking too much wine…waiting, waiting, waiting. The dining room at this point had emptied out, so it wasn’t because they were busy. The food was tasty even though it was not hot, and the portions were skimpy. Service was not the best. So very disappointed as this used to be a good restaurant.

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time and I’m very glad my boyfriend and I finally made it! Amazing service and our meals, the bolognese and Vitello alla 72, were delicious. The calamari was also crispy and tender. The best part was they accidentally brought a caprese salad to our table and let us enjoy it for free, very generous for such an insignificant “mistake.” Great prices and not too loud or chaotic in there like some places that try to fit in as many tables as possible. Will be returning!
