ECUA RESTAURANTE LA CHURONITA

This restaurant was suggested by someone at work, we all took a look at the menu and knew we were going to order from there. When we got there we were greeted by the owners, Chef Moe and his wife (I will get her name next time:) ) -- they were inviting and had our order ready to go.

There was a mistake with our shrimp when it should have been steamed and not fried. Chef Moe made the steamed shrimp and told me to take the fried ones as it was his mistake. Tore those shrimp up!! He even let us try a wing with his new sauce, strawberry hot, and DAYUM!!

The chicken wings I had were absolutely delicious, crispy and had the best amount of sauce on them. I will be trying the catfish myself next time because I tried colleagues and it was delicious. Everything I ate today had no chance of surviving for long.

Give it a try sometime soon.

Honey!!! New owner chef Moe is on point periodt!!! Those wings and wing sauce Chile, I wanted to lick the saucer. Soooooooo delicious!!!! Chef Moe is personable, funny, kind hearted and all around a good down to earth person. The food is extra extra extra food. I had the steam crabs, fried wings (3 different sauces) potato salad, French fries and onion rings. We enjoyed our dinner. Thanks Moe!!!

I like the food quality here but the portions and online process was a big issue for me. Ordered Ubereats last night and they have 2 of the same order with different prices. I ordered the 8 piece shrimp for 15$ and there was a 10$ version. I thought the 15$ version came with fries but it didn’t. What’s the difference in the meal? In terms of portions, I remember the last time I ordered, I got 1 catfish, 8 shrimp and fries. Total came up to Damn near 35-40 dollars and no drink! Again food was delicious but not for that price

Hott Stuff N Butta has become a household name in the 518 for providing great customer service, as well as seafood items. The food quality remained consistent for the last 3yrs. I was hopeful until I got home to enjoy my seafood platters.
If you are gonna continue on using the name/business model....REMAIN CONSISTENT OR YOU WILL LOSE VALUABLE CUSTOMERS SUCH AS MYSELF.
It's nothing for me to drop $100+ but not for mediocracy.
#1. change the grease in the fryer and under no circumstances should you re-fry seafood (shrimp rubbery/overcooked)
#2. we not paying for scalloped potatoes....stop slicing them like that

#4. The "butta" was the best! Now it's just a watery salty mess!
#5. Please stop using the old pics across several platforms, if the food is no longer gonna look as pictured!

To the new owners: please understand that this review would have been different if it wasn't for last night's food quality.

This place is 100% gas, a diamond in the ruff, and THE hidden gem of Albany. Little sketch at first, but don’t let that fool you. The food is impeccable and the people are better.

Albany's top wings are here! No other fish restaurant in the area truly SEASONS its fried fish, and when they do, it's done correctly. Definitely returning!

Everything was absolutely yummy!! The food is perfectly seasoned and his sauces are on point. Chef Moe is awesome! I’ll definitely be back!

I don’t usually post reviews but for this, I had to! This place is great and the food is amazing! I’ve tried many places, but hands down, this has become my absolute favorite! I would try it again and again! 5 stars!
