Anton's a good kid. He runs a good place and deserves your support.
Awesome place to be for a catch up with friends leigh from Melbourne Australia!!
Great coffee, staff, atmosphere and live entertainment
Best coffee house in Albany!!
Yuck coffee but the best bagel and cream cheese and other drinks. They even have sandwiches and veggie sandwiches
The first time I came into HRCH, I thought it was great - cute, nice selection, good coffee. However, after doing some research into the ownership and operation of this business (just because I'm curious and research-inclined) I quickly decided to patronize different Albany institutions. The owner is in debt to NYS for over $30,000 on property tax for HRCH (as a matter of public record) and this reflects in employee pay, quality of housekeeping in the coffeehouse, and closures of HRCH due to IRS seizures. I want to like HRCH, I really do, but I cannot in good conscience support a business that not only is in arrears on its property taxes, but cannot pay its employees reliably. Support workers, and buy your coffee elsewhere.
They have great coffee but ya never know if they will be open in the mornings on weekends.
I tend to rate a coffee house based on their plain-old, house coffee. Hudson River Coffee House's coffee gave my tastebuds an absolute thrill ride to nirvana. The pageantry, the costumes, wow. What a musical.
This always has been and always will be my favorite coffee shop. It's varied, unique, underground, strange, and surprising. Sometimes they'll shut down at night and turn into a raging performance venue. Sometimes it'll be barren and silent for a late night study session (since it's the latest-open cafe in Albany). They have board games (though they've been running low lately, stock up guys!!) and a dozen different styles of seating. You can sit in a diner booth, a leather couch, or the back seats of a VW van. It's really my favorite part of this quiet city, and I hope you all check it out.
I LOVE to get an iced cappuccino. Great flavor, texture, really unique. // Blues dancing every second and fourth Saturday, 8-11.

Great coffee and espresso!
Very cozy coffee shop, has a very "retro" setting, could spend hours there.

Great local coffee house with a very relaxed vibe. The sandwiches and coffee here are great.
