So please beware this place may look good and inviting but upon a more then 5 day stay it goes from great to discriminated and falsely accused. So to let you know right off the bat my wife and I have 3 kids together. My wife is transgender and upon her transition there has been relationship desires and needs and so in that sense we are in a open relationship and enjoy privacy when we are indulging in some quality time with our boyfriend so in order not to step out of bounds I sometimes get another room also I watch my niece and nephew on weekend so upon getting another room so I could have a nice dinner just me and my boyfriend the next morning I received a phone call from front desk to come down and talk about something to do with my one messed up reservation. I get down there the asst mg isn't out yet and I'm noticing all the house keepers wondering the halls when I hear what sounded like teenage boy then asst mg came out and we started to talk maybe about 15 mins later I finally went back up stairs just to open my door that at that moment I didn't have to use key to open it because there was those two same boys going thru my s***. I started recording them but they left called police after I called front desk just barely I was shaking so bad they said make a police report so I did the next day I was informed by front desk that the boys came back late last night wandering the halls and this time stayed close to my wife's room but thankfully she had the dogs with her and then I s*** you not but front desk asked me if I'm sure these two kids were my friends or I knew them. I could'nt believe it they were accusing me of being robbed I instantly was mad and walked away. but earlier I checked out of that room because it gave me the chills and I went out with my kids and came back excepting different room nope we put you back in that room. Now here is where privacy and the LGBTQ is pushed out because then I was informed that I am no longer to reserve a room there due to customers complaing my door is being open and closed a lot then the front informs me that they want to also know why I have so many condoms in my trash can like really now. Then I was told that it's just all too much and very suspicious even the burglary that upon staying until you have to officially get out we will only rent one room to you. Like I could think of who are you going thru my trash and who are you to tell a grown ass woman with 3 amazing kids and a kick ass wife that we can't have our own personal life sexual or at all I believe me and my wife are being discriminated against a lot

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times. Always satisfied until now. There were many problems with this stay. As an example what has led to our dissatisfaction, when we checked in, since my husband is a Titanium Elite for Life, we asked for our usual upgrade to a larger suite. We were told that nothing was available, albeit the parking lot was scarcely populated. We were subsequently given the smallest single suite available. We were very disappointed with the breakfast, as we expected much more as in our past stays. The waffle machine was not operable. There was no fruit whatsoever (except for the usual basket of apples outside the kitchen area. The omelets were not warm. Also, we requested towels three times on the phone and one time in person, but they were not received. Had to get them ourselves in the lobby. Not happy campers.

This Residence Inn was perfect for us as weary travelers. We were there only one night so we didn’t have a chance to enjoy all its amenities, but it gave us lovely surroundings and a lot of room to unwind. Our room was spacious with a large comfortable sitting area and a nice kitchen. My husband and I slept very well in the king bed. The split areas in the bathroom gave us our own spaces to spread out our toiletries and the lighting and numerous mirrors made getting ready easy. Breakfast choices were many and gave us a good send-off the next morning. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for more! After traveling for 3 weeks we can say this Residence Inn provided our best stay of the trip!

This was a disappointing stay- I haven't stayed here since pre-pandemic but the hotel is definitely lacking. When checking in I was asked if I wanted the room refreshed- meaning towels changed on day 2. I said yes and I even confirmed it the morning of the second day. I was not happy to return in the evening to find no clean towels- just the used ones in a pile that we had left. The breakfast buffet was mediocre- at 9:15 on Sunday- no muffins or bagels left- just white bread. No oatmeal. A few yogurt containers- This was our third day here and it got worse each day. For over $300 a night I expect more.

We had a room in which the bed made such loud squeaking noises at every movement that we had to pull the mattress off the box springs and sleep on the floor. We asked to be moved but were told no rooms were open. We tried to see the manager the next day but she "wasn't available". We were shown the replacement box springs which were being stored behind the checkin counter. They knew of the problem but booked the room anyway. It took many emails over 3 weeks before we got the charge removed from our cc. Also, dog feces were at the front entrance. When I told the clerk she responded that several people had told her but she wasn't going to clean it up. It was still there 30 minutes later as we checked out. And I thought Marriott hotels were nice....

Came out on August 13th with family, also I am a travel agent reviewing hotels and I can honestly say I had the best customer support and such a amazing time. The front desk was more than accommodating and I will be recommending this hotel to anyone that will be going to the area. Thank you again for the relaxing experience and I will be back!

I have NEVER had an experience WORST than what I experienced at the Marriott Residence Inn Washington Avenue on May 21, 2022. It started on April 9, 2022, simply booking my reservation for May 21-22. This hotel was one of the hotels recommended by my college ( not anymore) as a place to stay for a mandatory event we have to attend for certification. I called and asked to reserve a room. First, when I called, I didn't get a confirmation email with the reservation because they misspelled my name, the second time, I am not sure if they booked it because I still didn't get a confirmation email. The third time I called, I finally got a confirmation email. I should have known then to book somewhere else, but most of my cohort was staying here, so I stuck with it and canceled another reservation at Hampton Inn. However, I have never had to call a hotel THREE times to receive a booking confirmation email. We had class from 10:30- 7, so I didn't get to check in until 7:30. The check-in time was 4 pm. HOWEVER, When I got to the hotel, they said there were no rooms for me even though I had booked a reservation on April 9! They replied it was first come, first serve. I am not sure how you expect to run a hotel business this way, and it is UNACCEPTABLE. If there were no rooms available, I could have easily made/ kept my other reservation with a hotel that knows how to run a business and what a reservation means. It was 7:30, the night that I needed a room. If it weren't for the kindness of my friend from my cohort, I would have had to sleep in my car; there was nowhere else with availability. NEVER in my ENTIRE life have I had a hotel in which I made a reservation deny me a room and explain to me that they work off a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE MENTALITY FOR A HOTEL ROOM! Additionally, it was very unclean garbage sitting out of rooms, one with uncooked chicken from 7:30 pm and was still there at 7:30 am, and it stank! I am so disgusted by this experience, and I USED to have a Marriott credit card. Now I never want to stay at a Marriott again or ANY of their affiliations. I don't usually make complaints, but it is vital to know that trust is gone and people deserve to know. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY HAVE GOOD REVIEWS

Nice room spacious. lacked enough plates and utensils, Breakfast horrible. I'm allergic to eggs and don't eat sausage so there was nothing for me. It would have been nice to have toast or bagel available. Staff was very nice. Pool nice. There was no extra toilet paper, only 1 half roll, no shampoo 3 conditioners 1 soap 1 open box of tissues no washcloths No pool towels glad i bought the room towel '

This hotel experience is one of the best I've had...and I've stayed in many hotels in my lifetime. Beautiful, clean room. Lovely staff. Great breakfast. Nice pool area. Convenient location. A great hotel! Highly recommend!!

A little dirty in the common areas but otherwise an okay stay. No problems. Front desk staff were very helpful. Room was nothing fancy but very adequate. Would stay here again if was in the area. No problems.

My wife and I stayed at this property for one night following a wedding using Marriott reward points. My credit card was run for "incidentals." There were no incidentals. I checked out the next morning and was emailed a receipt with a $0 balance. The next day, a $43.32 charge appeared from the hotel on my credit card. Multiple phone calls. Multiple excuses. Promises to have the change reversed. Assurances that I "need to wait ten days." Two weeks later, nothing. Phone call this morning followed with more assurances that McKenzie, the manager will follow up this morning. This was the same person that assured me that the charge would be reversed. I am not holding my breath for resolution. Save yourself that potential aggravation/rip-off and choose another hotel.

We’ve been staying here for a few years now. We still like it, but it’s beginning to get a bit run-down. The outdoor furniture is getting very shabby and threadbare. Upholstery in the room was a bit dirty. I also noticed red bacteria growing around the base of the shower, and dirty vents in the bathroom. This might be due to cleaning every 3 days instead of every day. However, it’s not as clean as it used to be. That said, the staff are fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. I hope they bring it back up to the old standards.
