My dad and I went tonight and our whole meal start to finish was amazing. We had Evan as a server, phenomenal service- very helpful, had great recommendations and so friendly and attentive! We had martinis, the calamari as an appetizer (to die for), and the balsamic salmon with risotto and brussel sprouts. We split the cannoli cake. WOW. I’ll be dreaming of this meal! Portions were generous. We had to have to-go boxes. We will be coming back! Thank you to Hillary the manager, 10/10 experience ! We’ll bring the whole family next time!

The ambiance is cool, the service could have been better it was a party of 18 and we had 1 waiter. He did the best he could I guess but he totally was forgetting a lot. To top it off I found a chard in my food I had the chicken parmesean and when I bite down into a piece of it I thought I broke a tooth. It appeared to be a piece of a broken plate or bowl whatever they had white. I forgot to take a picture cause it was such chaos but the waiter said to put it on the side of the plate and he took it back and asked me if he could get a new dish made. I declined and ordered the salmon instead it was okay but this is not a place I would visit again. Unfortunately! The manager should have came over and no manager in sight to come and check on the chaos.

Our server, Jordan, was outstanding! She made our whole experience perfect. Friendly hostess, too. Our food was excellent! One of the best Italian meals we’ve ever had.
The wedge salad with tomato jam and hot crispy bacon is so flavorful!! The marinara cream sauce could easily double for a tomato bisque!! Chicken parmigiana portion was plentiful and seasoned perfectly, bread with pesto oil was a great starter and the pumpkin cheesecake was the best Fall dessert yet. Lauren was our server and she was very attentive, pleasant and answered all of our questions regarding our meal choices. The ambiance was spot on with great lighting and comfortable noise level. We will be back to try some more dishes.

On October 4th, Friday night, my wife and our friend Bonnie went to Cityline Restaurant and had a fabulous meal. After we left to drive home, we passed another restaurant, “Jacob and Anthony Italian” and made a mental note to try that the following Friday. So, I made reservations for the 3 of us. We arrived on time and were promptly seated. It was a very nice interior, not overly decorated, with some ‘rough wood’ accents in the wall and it was nice that you could hear conversations clearly in the well attended restaurant. Our waiter, Eric, came over with an enthusiast attitude and was playful, friendly and engaging. We placed our beverage orders and asked for appetizers of Mozzarella sticks, roasted Brussel Spouts and Truffle fries. While awaiting the drinks and appetizers, Eric brought out some excellent hot bread and some pesto accented Olive Oil. The drinks arrived shortly, and they tasted wonderful. After a few minutes, the Mozz sticks, Brussel Sprouts and Truffle fries arrived. All very good. We then ordered our mains, and I opted for the Anthony Steakhouse burger. Now I’ve eaten some fantastic burgers in the Capital District, thanks to the great recommendations of you good people here in 518 Foodies but this burger has set the bar HIGH. It wasn’t one of those burgers piled high with a knife stuck thru it to hold the ‘tower’ upright, while it was still a handful to hold, it was the absolute unadulterated flavor and tenderness of the burger that sold me. This burger doesn’t need ketchup or mustard or mayonnaise to step up the flavor. Please, if you’re burger lover, try this one. My wife and Bonnie opted for pasta and sauce and they were excellent as well. Highly recommend J&A and we will be back, the sooner the better.

Food was garbage.. pasta over done. Sauce tasted like it was from a jar.. salad was weak on the dressing..the only thing we both like was the mozz sticks and sauce. Waitress disappeared and had to go looking for her to get the check.. half way through the meal she asked if she could clean some plates out and proceeded to take the salad that was barely touched..I had to say we're still working on it thanks..
Won't be coming back. Prices are crazy for crap pasta.. unbelievable

I went for lunch with my daughter for her 15th birthday. She had linguini with vodka sauce and grilled chicken, I had gnocchi with basil pesto and grilled chicken. The atmosphere, the food and the service was just amazing. I definitely recommend!
