come here for lunch, soup is good and so is their ham sandwiches. The lady that owns the place (i think) is very nice and always greets with a smile. Its one of the good places to go on Lark street. You can find parking best if you come up Spring street.

I have been here a few times, and each time I have had a really great meal. Today was the firehouse burger with waffle fries. The burger was cooked exactly how I asked, dressed perfectly, and tasted amazing. The owner was very cheerful, and had a pleasant conversation with myself and a few of the other guests. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Kanter's Deli is a top notch food establishment! The staff is friendly and accommodating and the food is delicious. They have a great menu selection and everything is freshly made. It's an awesome spot for breakfast and lunch and conveniently located. Also, they're on grub hub!! Highly highly recommend this place to all my friends.

Was not a regular visitor but since the time i have had mouth watering cakes n burgers i had been a regular visitor... the taste the presentation is out of the world... simply love the food.... so grateful to deli... luv u guys for serving such an amazing food...

Overall the food here is pretty good. Dave, their cook does a great job (though I overheard he's looking for a different job.) The problem for me is price inconsistency. First time I went there (I work in the building next door) I ordered a breakfast sandwich - sausage, bacon and cheese (no egg) on a hard roll. The price for the default sandwich (bacon or sausage or ham and egg and cheese) is $3.75. At the first order, the guy behind the counter wasn't sure how to charge it as what I wanted was different than normal. The lady who owns the business said "make it the same as a regular breakfast sandwich." I went back several times more and the price was the same. Then another lady charged me $4.50 and the owner said the same thing as she previously said. Today I go and get the same thing and the price is now $5.00. I said "it keeps changing." She then asked if it was fair from a business standpoint that I get double meat and ask for a discount... I didn't ask for one. I asked for consistency regarding pricing that she herself had set. Is it fair to keep changing your pricing, and then put the onus on the customer for questioning the change? I liked Kanter's but I think they can do with one less customer at this point.

I ordered lunch today at this deli with a few friends from work, what we got was not what we expected. My friend ordered the chicken souvlaki and what she received was far from it. The pita was dry, lettuce was brown, and the chicken was down right disgusting and practically inedible. She called the establishment to see if she could get her money back and the woman on the phone was disrespectful, rude and had the worst customer service skills. When my friend asked to speak to a manager the woman on the phone claimed she was the manager and then hung up. Nothing was rectified, no money was returned and lunch was ruined.
