The egusi soup was disappointing-fatty meat, bland flavor, and unappetizing overall. Customer service was poor, prices didn't match the menu, food took far too long to prepare. The staff's unprofessional demeanor only made the experience worse. Wouldn't recommend.
The food is great. I love the fact that they have vegetarian option. Everything is always tasty and they staff is always polite.

Disappointing is probably the most polite word I can use here. When you fail to complete an order, your only resolution cannot equate to no resolution. This restaurant will deliver incomplete items and refuse to refund for missing items. Don’t order via spoton which is their preferred option for online orders because it does not allow you the customer dispute. You’ll have to go through your bank or make a complaint to the state as I have just done. If you have to order, use other platforms that will hold them accountable for their failures.

I recently visited this African cuisine spot as I’m new to the community and was eager to support Black-owned businesses. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the curry goat and jollof rice. The curry goat was flavorful, tender, but didnt come with potatoes. The jollof rice, while a bit oily, still had a good taste.
However, the customer service could use improvement. When I arrived, there were three or four people ahead of me, but the space felt crowded, and I couldn’t tell what was going on. After waiting over 15 minutes, I decided to place my order online while in the store, as the process seemed chaotic. Unfortunately, I was scolded for doing so, which didn’t feel welcoming or professional.
The seating area was also very cold. I noticed a heat vent on my way out, but it wasn’t enough to make the space comfortable for dining in. I ended up taking my food home, which turned out to be the better choice.
The quality of the food alone is worth a visit, but the overall dining experience needs attention. With improvements to customer service and better attention to the dining environment, this restaurant could easily become a top choice for African cuisine in Albany. For now, while the food will bring me back, my experience with the service makes me hesitant to recommend it wholeheartedly.

I had a MAGGOT in my fufu last week and I ALWAYS ORDER FROM HERE. I got two, one for me and one for my partner. We noticed the one that was cold HAD the maggot inside it, which was obviously older. They might’ve took down my partner’s review but best believe everyone will know including our lawyer. We called to even tell them and they acted like they didn’t know what we were talking about. Terrible treatment and terrible experience. Went from eating here every week to just stopping all together. YOU WILL KILL SOMEONE! Photos below smh
First time trying Nigerian food. Jollof and peanut soup were excellent. Next time I'll be sure to ask for it African

All of the food was fantastic along with the service!
Dietary restrictions: Their menu offers several different proteins and vegetarian options. I personally have a shellfish allergy, the staff was sure to avoid contamination and made recommendations from the menu as well.

Just ordered from doorDash I’m highly upset. I go to this restaurant most every day. I’m very disappointed. Legally, I’m taking action because I’ve dealt with something similar and got sick and took no action. Good thing I haven’t ate the fufu. A maggot was just sitting on top of the food when I opened it I never would’ve thought smh Im very very angry like for real Then I called the restaurant and he acts like he didn’t know what I’m talking about And I explained it several times the fufu was cold which was one of the tell tell signs it may be old then I see this like I’m stressed
Worst at customer service 😑 I placed an order since 3:45pm and yet received almost 7pm. They got confused even if it was pick up or delivery. Ya'll need to do better

I used to be a regular customer and ordered almost everyday on DoorDash , but unfortunately, my recent experiences have been disappointing. My last few orders were messed up—there was hardly any meat, just bones, and the food was so spicy that it was inedible. Additionally, the fufu was all knotted up and uneatable. We as customers are paying real money for the food and can’t seem to enjoy it anymore as there’s an issue with almost everyday order now.

This was my first time ordering and they didn’t have the egusi soup but the workers were extremely nice and helpful and pointed me towards the best best thing. Everything was hot and super tasty
