Walked into a friendly welcome in a cozy, quiet place and enjoyed an excellent meal. All we ordered - Greek salad, chicken kebab, chicken stew, and grilled Bonzoni, accompanied by lovely warm pita and a perfect dry Syrian Rose and topped off with a poached pear with ice cream - was fresh and well seasoned. Perhaps our best Mediterranean experience. Will certainly return! Portions are very generous so sharing is wise.

The food is delicious and the service excellent. It is our new favorite restaurant. It is very hard for our family to find a place to go out to eat that would satisfy all of our very different culinary likes. This place definitely has something for each of us. Our server was amazing. She was very attentive and helpful. She also had great suggestions that we were happy we tried because because we loved it.

Kismet is a rare find n a city not typically known for its culinary offerings. The dishes showcase a strong Turkish influence in their preparation, and they were superbly crafted, delicately seasoned, and beautifully presented. The service was exceptional as well. At the end of our meal, we were offered hot, flavorful Turkish coffee, which was a delightful touch. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I look forward to returning soon.

Fantastic experience! Food was excellent, we got the mezze platter, chicken shish kebab, grilled branzino and salmon, and lamb chops. Everyone raved about the food and we appreciated the olives and red peppers with the mezze. Our server was friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend this gem!

I am so glad I was prompted by OpenTable to write this review. Kismet was such a pleasant experience. I had takeout from there before with relatives and it was wonderful, but this was my first time inside the restaurant. I took a friend there for her birthday. We were treated with great care, above and beyond anything I expected. The food was fabulous, the dessert was fabulous and of course, the presentation of the food was magazine worthy. I consider myself a good cook and I don't like to go to any restaurant where I feel I could do a better job at home. Kismet is perfect for my requirements. They are superior.

This neighborhood gem is a real new asset to the Madison Ave block in Albany that has other well known dining spots. The food was delicious and the owner and server made us feel welcome. Be sure to try the special pear dessert after some tasty lamb dishes. Will be back soon.

The waitress was super warm and friendly and the food delicious! After dinner we order the pistachio espresso which was unique and lovely, and we were presented with a complimentary dessert! A poached pear which tasted like it had been poached in lightly mulled cider (which I very much enjoyed) , and a scoop of a creamy ice cream type dessert which my husband loved. This is just a consistently great place! Highly recommend!

The service is so warm and friendly we tell everyone we can to go there. You will not be disappointed! The hummas is to die for!!!!!!!!
