Great food spot! We tried out some Mac and cheese and corn bread as well as the red velvet cake.
The Mac and cheese is AMAZING!!!! The flavor is so good and it’s simply delicious!
The corn bread was good too, but the Mac and cheese was the star of the show.
Some suggestions: better lighting in the outside, the place seems closed sometimes because it’s so dim. We could have gone much sooner but it always looked closed. The food is amazing. Can’t wait to go back!
** they also do not accept cash, card only. They also have some self order kiosks. Very modern.

Was excited to try this place heard a lot of good things about it. Walked in to an empty restaurant. Staff all standing around no greeting. When someone did address us they told us to use the terminal like we should have known the “rules!” I was told the menu board was out of date and the kiosk was more updated. So without any assistance or suggestions, I Go through figuring out what the menu was with no guidance. Place an order go for payment the card reader wasn’t working. Same employee came over shut the kids off and I was told to use the other kiosk. At this point I was ready to not order. So my other half did! I kept my money. And went elsewhere. We opted for dine in and it was packed Togo!

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I came in looking for the lunch menu, the young lady up front immediately had an attitude and said “it’s not on the kiosk hold on” in the most rude way possible. After holding on for 10 minutes I kindly asked “where’s the menu I asked for”? Out of nowhere there’s a gentleman with glasses who with the same energy as the woman says to me “I added it on the kiosk check again”. So rude and disrespectful

The restaurant is amazing. I love the location and the welcoming environment. The staff is very friendly, and the tea was perfectly sweet and refreshing. I had the waffles with catfish, which were delicious, and my girlfriend had the fried shrimp with candied yams and macaroni and cheese, which she absolutely loved. We enjoyed it so much at lunch that we came back again for dinner!
I definitely recommend trying the fried chicken wings, collard greens, and candied yams you really can’t go wrong. Hands down, this is one of the best soul food restaurants in the Capital Region. To top it off, the owner personally introduced himself, and he was a genuinely nice guy.

My mom had told me this place was really good. I ordered Mac and cheese, grilled shrimp, collard greens and cornbread. The mac and cheese was very greasy…the greens were very salty as well as the shrimp. The cornbread was pretty good. The service wasn’t bad at all, workers were nice. The food just wasn’t the best…

Chicken wings were very good and very big. The waffle was OK. They don't have butter. You need butter on a waffle. My wife and son were with me and they also enjoyed their food.
No cash. Menu is on a touch screen. Not a fan of the touch screen. Menu was very limited with no options. I will not be returning when there are other family run places to go. The young lady tried to be helpful at the counter.
