I don’t typically eat at food courts, because being vegan and gluten free, there’s not usually much variety. But I was super hungry, and decided to give this place a try. I got miso soup and house salad. Wasn’t expecting much, but OMG! Both were literally the BEST I’d ever had. It’s been my experience, that asian house salads are made up of lame iceberg, a few strings of carrot, two slices of cucumber and maybe four cherry tomato halves. This salad, was filled with fresh and delicious spring mix, lots of tomatoes and cucumber sticks. The ginger dressing was thick and yummy! The miso soup did not disappoint! Filled with LOTS of cubed tofu, seaweed and scallions. Yum! With the high quality, and reasonable prices of these two items, I’m looking forward to coming back and trying the build Your Own Poke/Burrito bowl!

I have tasted the best Japanese fried chicken in my life at this place. It is worth a try.

Excellent!! I didn't expect the quality to be as good as it was: fresh, cubed fish served with veggies on top of a huge pile of well seasoned sticky rice. I had the Hawaiian poke bowl: cubed tuna, sliced avocado, cucumber and onion. I could do without the onion; they're like the kind that ya get on loaded Italian hoagies. Asked for the sauces on the side and they accommodated. The Topical poke bowl had positive reviews: salmon, tuna, avocado, red cabbage and onion. (They'd drop the onion, too). The sauces were very good-mango was just sweet enough and the spicy mayo had a nice kick. The poke sauce definitely had a hoisin base...it was just ok. Used it in small doses. The Alaska roll was great! Pieces were a bit big, but the avocado and salmon were super fresh. The food took a while, but was worth waiting for. This place is raising the bar for mall food-court fare.

I literally am in love with poke bowls! They were the first place I tried a poke bowl and I don't regret it one bit! Their wokers are so friendly and the food is so fresh! I wish it was cheaper because I would buy it for lunch everydayyy!! But $12 is a little too much for me to buy all the time , i don't have too much to say other than thank youuuuu! Btw i never tried the raw fish from their so don't ask me how it taste hehe

First off, the interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated, clean, and inviting. A wide variety of sushi is nicely complemented by the upscale presentation. Waitresses are attentive and quick to deliver.

Nice flavor for this sushi food court restaurant. It both looked and smelled fresh. Worth a bite in my opinion.

Another location, another five star review! At the recommendation of Eric at Kuma Ani Ramen & Donburi on Wolf Rd., on Wednesday, I tried their location in Crossgates Mall. I was pleasantly surprised to see Eric behind on the counter of Kuma Ani Express. My first venture into Poke bowls, I asked Eric what should I try first? Eric recommended the Hawaii Poke (Tuna, avocado, cucumber, sweet onion, scallion, sesame seed, on seasoned rice with poke sauce. Eric explained that traditional poke uses marinated tuna, however, for their location they provide the sauce on the side as you can add as little or as much as you want. I grabbed my order, made by Eric and headed home. There were two poke sauce containers included, and I was advised to try a little first before adding all of it as poke sauce is salty. One was enough, two would not have been too bad though. The flavors were amazing, everything tasted as fresh as fresh could be. There was a plentiful amount of ingredients in there as well. The bowl does not look huge, but it is definitely enough to fill yourself. Once again, I am incredibly pleased with the offerings from Kuma Ani (no matter what the location).

Exceptionally courteous service. Sushi was fresh and flavor was good. Nice find for a mall food court.

I've come to the mall JUST for Kuma Ani's sushi burritos at least 3 times. I've updated my review to 5 stars. You guys rock. Thanks for opening this place up.

I can say with confidence that the Kobe Bowls here are among the best in Albany. However, I wish that there were options for smaller portions for lunch. A half size bowl would be perfect and would bring me back more often.

Kuma Ani is taking mall food court standards to another level. Fresh speciality rolls, sushi/sashimi burritos and amazing poke bowls. I had their tropical poke with salmon, tuna, avocado, purple cabbage, sweet onions and cucumber paired with spicy mayo (omg this one had a kick) and mango sauce. Blended perfectly. Service is amazing too. 10/10
