We visited this restaurant in New York while visiting my son and his family. Our waiter was efficient and friendly and the service was good . The food was OK but not phenomenal. The prices are fairly high. With the tip it cost us $240 for four adults and one six-year-old. I didn’t like the atmosphere because they had TVs around so while the prices were high, the atmosphere was more like a bar.

Terrible customer service, never been to a restaurant who wouldn’t seat me until a 3rd member of my 4 party group showed up. Wanted to have a few drinks before eating and the restaurant was empty. I am utterly flabbergasted. What restaurant owner wouldn’t want to make some money when it’s devoid of customers. I guess they make enough that they don’t care about their customers, not going back. When asked for the manager, the manager said they just wanted to maintain consistency, yah, a consistently empty restaurant. Don’t get me wrong, when it’s busy or dinner time, but not when it’s empty at lunch with an empty patio as well.

I want to preface that I’ve eaten here several times and service has always been good and the food as well. Went there today about 12 today, and we were to meet another couple there for lunch. We are about 10-15 min early so we ask for a table. The hostess advises us that we need to have more than 50% of the party to be seated. Okay I get that when it’s busy, there were only 4 tables with people in them, almost empty. We wait a few minutes then ask to speak to the manager. He comes out and we ask why are we waiting when it’s empty, he said they want to stay consistent. I totally get that concept when it’s actually busy or if we wanted to sit outside, we wanted inside. I’ve never heard of a customer getting told to wait to get seated when it’s empty. Poor customer relations imo.

I tried the Vegan New Age Bolognese at Lanie’s Café, and it was such a treat! The dish came with a side of fresh bread and a salad, making it a well-rounded and satisfying meal.
Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious vegetarian and wholesome option.
I order the house chop salad VERY often for lunch. The quality is going down and the prices are going up. The dressing is not good, ALL oil and no flavor. Chicken very dry. I ordered an extra dressing and the container was only half full.

This is my husband’s favorite Italian restaurant in Albany (We live in Worcester currently) and we came to NY for the weekend. I had my doubts and he was definitely right. The mushroom appetizer was perfect. The service from Alexis 10/10.
