The bartender is the grandson of original owner & such a sweet, friendly guy. Have great meal suggestions. Food was great with huge portions. The atmosphere was great. Would definitely be back if I am ever in Albany again.

I was lucky and stopped in on Taco Tuesday. The tacos were delicious. It’s three huge tacos for around $10. The food is fresh and the service was great too!

Lovely spot to stop for a quick lunch. I had the Reuben, my company had the club, the mac n cheese, and the buffalo salad + onion soup. Everyone really enjoyed the food. The ambiance was nice. The service was super efficient on a Friday afternoon (between lunch and dinner, admittedly). Great beer selection. Great spot.

Beautiful art Deco bar and restaurant in downtown Albany. Just happened upon this after having driven by the city many times heading upstate. Loch and quay is located across from the SUNY building. The owner, Frank, was super friendly! Beer selection is extensive and the food was excellent. Highly recommend.

Visited while in Albany for a business. It was near our hotel and had good reviews so we decided to check it out, and we were glad we stopped by! The place had a fun bar vibe, with a big old wood bar. The staff was friendly. The menu had a variety of sandwiches, paninis, and other typical bar food. We wanted an appetizer and were having a hard time deciding between spinach artichoke dip and buffalo chicken wing dip, but I loved that they had an option where you could get a half order of each so we didn't have to choose!I was going back and forth but ended up choosing the chicken pesto panini and I was happy I did, it had good flavor. My husband had seen the cottage pie on the menu when looking online and had his heart set on it. He was happy at his choice, and it definitely looked hearty. I have traveled to this hotel a few times for work, and this place is in walking distance, I would definitely consider coming back again, and recommend you give it a try if in the area, especially if in the mood for pub fare!

Place says online that it closed at 8 on a Saturday. But they stayed open to serve all the customers that were patronizing the establishment. Great ambience.

Nice cozy pub close to my Airbnb. Ordered the Bacon Bleu burger, which was delicious. Ordered a Guinness nitro, old fashioned, and a Moscow mule. Bartender killed it with the drinks. One of the few places I'd recommend in Albany.

Delicious food, art deco decor, easy neighborhood atmosphere. Had lunch and beers here while on vacation. Fresh everything - bread, meat, cheese, greens. Definitely recommend!

This review is in direct response to Julia Jenkins one star review. First I have an issue with people purposely trying to hurt a small local business when they have visited only once. I have been going to Loch and Quay since the week it opened and the ONE time I received an order not to my liking, I let the staff know and was comp’d. Did Ms. Jenkins let the staff know? Or did she bring her order home and let the cheese set??? I have ordered the pretzels multiple times and it never looks like that. To those people wanting TRUE reviews of establishments please research those reviewers and how many times they actually ate at the establishment. Btw Ms Jenkins, next time you receive pretzels that are too salty—do what I do—take your pointer finger and flick the salt off. Chef Bev is the best Loch has had and the food is great. One of my favs is the patty melt. I also LOVE the reuben, best in the area. She also creates great soups for both vegans and non vegans. Thx Loch this review is long overdue, the entire staff are friendly and helpful.
