They serve the same quality food you would expect from a gas station like Stewarts or 7/11 but charge 4x the price. Frozen burgers, simple breakfast sandwiches etc. Good if you are having a nostalgic craving for school lunch food.

I've been coming to Logan's since it opened, so I think I can speak from abundant experience when I say I've watched with equal parts excitement and underwhelm as it has found its footing.I'll start with the good: Logan's sells the best coffee in the concourse if not in Albany. The brand they brew, Capital City Roasters, is unmatched.Logan's has also had dependable breakfast sandwiches. The quality of the grab-n-go sandwiches in their heating shelf admittedly swings between good to middling from day-to-day, but there is always just the right amount of density egg and breakfast meat, if a little too much cheese (which often catches on, drags itself across, my face). If you go for the breakfast platter instead, that is also quite decent. Many of Logan's sandwich options are also dependable, and their desserts are absolutely delicious for their relatively low pricing.Several of the older and more veteran staff are a delight to interact with, such as Sherry, Mickey, and Dave. Now the not-so-good:-If you're an early riser, and arrive near or at opening time, the heating shelf may not yet have the breakfast sandwich you want while at the same time being near-on overstocked in another type, and if you still want the breakfast sandwich that isn't yet stacked, it counts as cook-to-order and you may not be allowed to get the breakfast combo pricing--that's not a good customer service strategy.-In tandem with that, if your timing doesn't match up close to the timing breakfast sandwiches were last filled into the heating shelf, you will get a dried-out bun with dried-out breakfast meat.-The younger front-house staff at times leave something to be desired. At least one young woman regularly uses her phone out in the open while working and may not notice customers right away while manning the cash register. Another young staff member wears alternative facial piercings, which while I understand is now commonplace and accepted, is not appealing in a food service establishment, and such jewelry really should not be worn if these staff members also handle food at any point during the day.-Some mornings, it seems that the staff are scrambling to catch up on their morning prep and are not present at the register, and you can end up standing there for a few minutes before someone notices. That's not often, but common enough to comment on.-The overhead music is also at times off-putting. There doesn't seem to be a consistent station and it seems as though a different person is in control of the music depending on when you walk in. At least a couple times, I've walked in to what sounded like death metal (and not even classic metal) blasting out of the speakers. Other times, music was playing that I could not identify, but that had some questionable lyrics.-Heating shelf grab-n-go lunches are highly hit or miss. If you get a dish that inherently has a lot of moisture, such as crispy chicken with mashed potatoes or goulash, it's usually decent, but every time I've ever grabbed a burger, fries, or wings, they have been bone dry (and legitimately unpleasant to even swallow).-I used to be a fan of Logan's cole slaw, but lately, it has really fallen off suddenly. The slurry is more watery than it is creamy, if you even get a lot of slurry in the mixture, and the cabbage has had a funky taste, which unto itself might not be such a bother, but the slurry is so under-flavored that the cabbage takes center stage in the flavor department. The first two times I thought might just be a coincidence, but after the third time, I could no longer give it the benefit of the doubt.-I've also since stopped ordering onions on my sandwiches. I don't know if was a recent batch, but the last few times I've had them, they've been tough as opposed to crunchy.I wish nothing but the best for Logan's and will continue to go there, both out of habit, convenience, and yes, even loyalty (and for the awesome coffee), but I would love to see them improve in the areas I

My go to lunch spot in concourse. A little on the expensive side. And ordering online is a 30 min wait. The strawberry fields is the best!Kid-friendliness: take out

Geez, I'm pretty surprised by the negative reviews of this place. I was going to start with "I cannot overemphasize how lucky employees at the State Plaza are to have this place." But reading through the other reviews, I've never had any of poor experience here even remotely similar to those.Comparatively speaking, Logan's is the best value in the plaza. For less than $10 ($9.71 for a menu item or build your own) you get a fresh and generous sandwich with homemade chips that are nearly always crunchy and well-salted. I've paid the same for a weak-sauce wrap at Mazzone's with nothing else or a decent but small sandwich at Au bon Pain.It should be noted that I typically order off the menu or a relatively simple sandwich, rarely subbing things out or adding up-charge items. I occasionally get egg sandwiches from their hot case, but never grab the hot or pre-packaged lunches. So your mileage may vary. The muffins here are big and less then $3. I've paid more then that for a single cookie from Mazzones, or the same for a smaller muffin at ABP. Value, yo.I've been around since they've opened, and wasn't too partial to the hype of that time. But they've engendered my loyalty through consistently good food and service. People are complaining recently that McDonalds is going out of the plaza, I'm like "who cares? We have Logan's"

The reason for a 3 start is because its an hit or miss here depending on who make your food. Yesterday my boss ordered an Joey Gs chicken salad on a wheat wrap and it was so nice and big!! She had lots of meat and a decent amount of chips - ? so i asked her what was that she ordered so can order one the following day. I placed the same order online and when i went to Pick it up it barely had meat and a little bit of chips - it was really good and the people who worked there are really nice. I will give it another try since i like it -maybe its better to order your food in person then online.

This establishment is more miss than hit. The food is subpar and they have gourmet prices. I’m done spending money at this place because the staff doesn’t care about the food quality and service, they just throw the food together. They must not pay their staff well, if they did, the customer service would be better.

I just left there not even 5 minutes ago. I ordered on-line and picked it up. The service was good, the roll was nice and fresh. I ordered a corned beef sandwich. I realize that food is expensive for everyone, but if I paid $11 for a sandwich, it should probably have corned beef on it. These little scraps of meat were insulting.I hear they are supposed to be opening up on the 29th floor of the Corning Tower. They won't be up there long. You have to have access to get up there, therefore, they are limited on consumers. Pretty much only stateworkers can get up there. I'm telling you now, if it's not worth going there, we won't go there.

Cold cuts were very dry. Whole sandwich was besides the gummy bagel. Found one tiny dab of sauce on the sandwich. First and last experience here. And within an hour of eating I am having horrible stomach cramps and foreseen and afternoon in the restroom.

I always have a mixed experience at this establishment. One day I’ll get great service and food, then the next it’ll be poorly prepared and rushed. Honestly just need more consistency. I shouldn’t have to request a specific person to make my food. I’ve also had hair in my food once and this isn’t the first time my bagel looked like this. I also had bought a wrap once and it leaked all over my desk and I had to throw it out it was so soggy.

2nd time coming here and I feel like I waste my money each time. And you can't get a half salad at the counter, you have to buy a full size. 3 people could easily eat off of that full size salad I got today, if the lettuce is edible.Today's choice was a Grilled Chicken Cobb salad. I put in my order at the counter and I ask for the Chicken Cobb Salad, and to please remove tomato and feta. And I asked for Cucumbers and black olives to be added. Paid $13 when their grab and goes are only $9.95. First ❌️Then I get handed a Salad with just lettuce, black olives and Cucumbers. 2nd ❌️ I said back to the counter guy, I ordered a grilled chicken Cobb salad. With everything on the salad but tomato and feta cheese and to add Cucumbers and black olives. But nope didn't get that. They give me the Salad back and they definitely put atleast a full package of bacon on it.By the way: do they not know how to properly wash lettuce? Definitely still had dirt on the lettuce and when you took a bite of the lettuce there was a sandy texture to it. 3rd ❌️Since this was a complete waste of money, I refuse to spend any more money here. They are lucky they got 1 ⭐️

Stephanie is friendly and provided excellent customer service. A few of her colleagues could use some training regarding customer service when dealing with the public.
