I didn't even get to eat here. I've ordered to-go from here before and the food was great. But, when I walked in and asked to look at the menu one of the waitresses began speaking to me in spanish (which is totally fine bc I am visibly hispanic) she asked if I wanted a menu in spanish and I said not really because I understand spanish decently but english is my preferred language. She then laughed in my face and made a comment to one of the other girls which I did not hear. The third girl gave me the menu and while I'm looking at it, the other two girls are talking about me and laughing. Just because english is my preferred, doesn't mean I don't understand spanish just fine. They were so rude that I just sat the menu down and started walking out to which one of the girl's yelled out "Bye!" sarcastically and all three of them began laughing as I walked out.I don't understand. I was polite and they loat out on a potential tip. I'm wondering if the staff is always unprofessional. It's not just spanish speaking folks that want to enjoy the food. I was lucky to understand enough to know that I wasn't welcomed there. I would advise people to stick to ordering instead of sitting down where the service is poor and you still feel obligated to tip. At this point, I don't think I'll go there again. I can get the same food cooked by my mother for 1/2 the amount of condescension.

I live in Yonkers, NY and came to visit a relative in Albany. We were looking for a place to eat and they recommended this place Moliendo Cafe to me. We have always liked Colombian comfort and why not try this place. As soon as we entered, they welcomed us and gave us the table. They brought us the menus, and the menu has many options. I recommend cheese or chicken empanadas and their sauces are very delicious since they come with the empanadas. I recommend shrimp with garlic, very rich seasoning, horse steak, pina coladas taste very delicious and are cheap 5.50 without alcohol. What we would recommend is to use glass glasses since the juices are served in transparent but plastic glasses and it does not look good, it does not give a good image because plastic is no longer used to serve drinks, so I recommend upgrading to glass. The piña colada if served in a glass glass looks much better. The attention is always there. I recommend.

The guy that attended to my friend and I (we dined in) was also the one at the check out. The menu could have been more elaborate about pricing. I also think the food was a bit bland for my taste. The fish wasn't too bad though. The guy also ignored me for the most part and was only looking at my friend when he was talking including taking orders and his customer service just wasn't the best. I just find it interesting that restaurants nowadays automatically charge gratuity and doesn't make it an option for their customers. So it kinda forces customers to pay for tip even if they aren't satisfied with service. Believe it or not, eye contact and conversation with your customers is part of customer service in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend this place to someone else just based on service.Parking: You might have to pay for street parking depending on where you park.

Prices are reasonable. I usually get empanadas to go for a quick lunch it goes really well with their hot sauce. They do have family dinner at a good price comes with a whole chicken, rice, beans, and plantains or salad.

I love the food and staff here. Inget the churrasco which is steak and french fries and rice and salad. Great value for the price. Gonna try and get here more frequently.

Went here with coworkers for dinner last night. The food was typical Columbian food. I ordered fried pork with fried plantains. It came with an arepa. The service was excellent, atmosphere as well. Prices were pretty decent. If you like Columbian food, check out this spot.Parking: You park on the street, wherever you can find a spot.
