Unfortunately, this restaurant was not very accommodating for guests with disabilities. My 19-year-old son has autism and does not eat this kind of food. When we brought him McDonald’s, we were told outside food was not permitted, and that he would still be charged full price even though he wasn’t eating. This was especially disappointing since we were celebrating my wife’s birthday.

SUMMARY: For the Albany area, fine KBBQ (didn't try the hot pot). Gentrified food & gentrified prices. Really pretty place. Certain cuts of meat were weak, banchan was underwhelming. Avoid s'mores for dessert.

All options are listed and ordered on a tablet. Limited banchan (side dishes) and sauces are free and only come upon order: kimchi, which comes in a VERY small serving size, and pickled radish are the free sides we ordered. Other common banchan, like various vegetables, cost extra. Like all KBBQ, the grill's heat was turned lower as we ate. After our meal, we chose the s'mores dessert experience. At that point the grill was barely on. I get why the grill was off, but I feel cheated that our s'mores were basically raw.

I have been spoiled by some really good KBBQ from big cities like LA and NYC. Compared to those places, MOSU is not good. Just wait until you can go to a real or at least half decent restaurant.

Had fun doing the hot ppt. Especially all you can eat, ordering on the tablet. So easy & quick. They split the pots so you can have more than one broth. The spicy symbol, believe it!

Yesterday I went with family with over expectations. Unfortunately the overall satisfaction remains at 3star. I don't think that is worth for such costs.

Can't do hot pot and Korean BBQ at the same time, but the food selection for hot pot is great. The food itself is very fresh and tasty as well. Good desert menu, and the broth was tasty as well. Nice utensils provided to make cooking easy as well

Very disappointed. We were a party of 5 with a BBQ lunch reservation. For some reason, the hostess said we made a hotpot reservation. Not that it mattered (the place was 20% full), but I showed her my reservation that clearly said BBQ.

Next, our waitress, Maha, was not too good. I don’t understand why she kept bringing our drinks and food to one spot and making us hand them out ourselves (drinks, soup, dessert, etc…). I would suggest handing them to the actual person like most restaurants do. At the end of the meal, she gave us a check and stated that there is a 20% gratuity for parties of 5. I’m sure that’s in the fine print somewhere on the iPad menu, but I would have liked to know that before hand. Personally, maybe she didn’t put forth much of an effort because she knew she had a guaranteed tip.

As for the BBQ, I really wish I had gone to a true Korean restaurant. True Korean restaurants have more spice and flavor in their meats. However, the meats and seafood weren’t bad. The only thing that was really bad was the kimchi. When I asked Maha about it, she just said everything was handmade in house. No apology or compensation was given.

I can deal with the food, but I was expecting more. It didn’t live up to all the Korean and Japanese BBQs that I’ve been to living in NYC and DC. $260+ (5 people) down the drain. If the waitress had been better and more pleasant, I think I would’ve had a good experience. But unfortunately, there was no redeeming factor. In the end, I realized that I should’ve checked the Yelp reviews and not relied on Google. Lesson learned.

Did not enjoy the taste of the food here at all. This place had nothing special to offer, maybe the premium meat options are better, but by the taste of the regular dinner options, I doubt it.

Absolutely love this place. I love that they have both hot pot and BBQ. Honestly, hot pot is my favorite. I also love the order process that uses the tablet- it's so convenient! They have a fantastic variety of proteins, too. Highly recommend MOSU!

As for food i didn't get to eat... my 7 year old son doesn't eat this type of food so I got him McDonald's. I was told he's not allowed to bring in outside food... cool no problem we at it in the car. Then they proceed to tell us they would still charge him full price just to sit. Again he ate. And he's 7, really? We were not informed of this before we sat down.
