The coffee is why I go, the food isn't my cup of brew. However sometimes they have a baked good or two that peeks my interest and I can't help myself. Yet no matter when I go service is always nice, and it's a nice spot to just sit with a cup of coffee

The service was exceptional. Unfortunately, many of our first choices were out of stock and have been out of stock for a while so we had to alter which in itself is not a big deal. However, when you’re really looking forward to something and to see that it still has not been restocked it is a little bit of a disappointment.

Only my first time here but seems like some other reviews are a bit harsh. It may not be the best coffee in the state, but my light brew was good and the service and atmosphere was just fine. A convenient spot if you're in Pine Hills. I hope they stick around despite St Rose closing and Madison Theater shutting down.
Great atmosphere, Wide selection of treats, and an Amazing tasting Coffee! Probably the best 20 minutes of my life spent in there ?

No plugs for laptops on the left side of the cafe, one plug at a seat with high tops not comfortable for working. The right side has one plug but it had a child laying across the seats unattended blocking from sitting there. Lady taking coffee orders had me standing there for a awkward amount of time while she made all coffees before taking an order for some reason.

The ice coffee the barista recommended was really good. Cheese danish was delicious too. Really great vibes

Disappointed. Rolled up to the Madison Avenue store at 7:03 AM today. Store hours said they were open at seven. There was an employee inside doing something at the counter, but when I knocked on the glass to see if they were open, she looked up without acknowledging me turned her head back down and went back to her work. I waited a minute to see if maybe she was just wrapping up what she was doing but nope, she never looked up again. So, despite being from the neighborhood, I guess I won’t be a patron of motor oil coffee? That’s a shame.Update — 12/21/23 — I’ll try again tomorrow morning!
This ranks amongst the worst coffee spots in town

I wish I could give zero stars. To start with the cashier was not nice at all, she messed up our order, and the hot chocolate we ordered was disgusting!

Consistently the worst run coffee shop in Albany. Coffee cold with grounds in it, No toilet paper or paper towels in the bathroom. I've given this place plenty of chances-- I'm done!I would recommend nearby Iron Coffee Co or Stacks Espresso Bar instead.

Guys I’m trying to support you put the product is so inconsistent. I just spent $10 on a medium coffee and a bagel with cream cheese where the amount of cream cheese was barely noticeable. Give me a break guys. I like that you are open early before I have to be at work but can I get a decent bagel with cream cheese especially if it’s so expensive?!

I ordered a cold brew and it was so mild I wasn't sure if it was cold brew or iced black tea. The coffee was very slow to come out. I paid 6 dollars for a less than mediocre cold brew

Great little spot, still training their employees but they're doing very well!! Great menu
Vegetarian options: Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are completely customizable so you can't do it without meat easily, plus there are baked goods.
