This place is cozy and intimate, so bring your special ones here. The chefs produce an interesting mix of Old School Italian to modern cuisine you won't find elsewhere. Features: lovely, comfortable decor, Wood fired pizza oven - also used for other innovations from the kitchen. Full bar in the main dining area and a backroom equipped with full bar and fireplace. Add Navona's own brand of extraordinary customer service and you have your new favorite place.

Navona under previous management had a better bar but I cannot complain about the service or food in any way. Highly recommend the pork belly lettuce wraps. I wish they gave more lettuce but everyone about that dish is just divine, including the horseradish sauce and I don't even like horseradish! As always, we saved room for dessert and both the olive oil cake (loved the crispy, cinnamon-sugary bits) and chocolate mousse (recipe changed—no more lace cookie, but the mousse itself somehow got more rich and lighter at the same time? I do not understand..We usually go here for dinner but today we tried their lunch and it was ✨stellar✨. My husband got the pizza navona (margherita pizza essentially, fresh Italian style pizza made in a brick oven, best in Albany) like he usually does and I got their reasonably priced ($15) salmon. It was a proper portion which meant I was unable to overeat its deliciousness like my American nature wants to and FULL of flavor, the roasted asparagus, greens, and onion in the yogurt sauce was sooooooo good. We also got the chickpea panzanella side ($3, great price for a decent sized side that most places would charge $6 for) and were very pleased. I do wish they had pasta offerings for lunch besides a pasta salad, but I was not displeased with my options. I'll be back and I'm probably going to have to try their turkey pepperonata sandwich next. ???
Vegetarian options: My husband is vegetarian but still loves this place despite the limited selection. Their pizza is amazing; this time he tried the gnocchi, but he could not take the creaminess of the butter sauce. They rushed a pizza for him (ty!) and I had his gnocchi the next day for lunch.
Parking: Parking lot in the back is often full but on Tuesday there were spaces.
Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and are extremely kind and patient with children.

We came here for the wood fired pizza and weren't disappointed. Flavorful slices with great portions of sauce, cheese, and char. Staff was friendly and attentive. Loved having the shady patio on a sunny afternoon.

We hired Restaurant Navona's food truck for a corporate party and it was wonderful! They were early to set up, so accommodating and the food was delicious. Kim and her team were amazing. Not to mention, the presentation was beautiful. Highly recommend for your next event!

Enjoyed the pizza (said by an Italian) made with good tomato sauce, real mozzarella and with a wood fired oven. Glad I got tempted by the biscuits dessert, that was good too

Menu descriptions are lacking. Gluten free pizza was like a flavorless cracker and their Pizzas tend to lack sauce menu could describe better. No gf bread

So close yet so far.Food was delicious.Decor / environs were very nice. The menu was one-third the size of what it should have been. The portions were one-third the size they should have been. Thus the prices were 3 times what they should have been.Remedy these things and it would be a 4.5 star restaurant. Til then it's a 3.
Navona is a place for people who can appreciate culinary arts. You can tell they are foodies. Everything made in-house and made very specially for consistency. We had a bruschetta appetizer with three different toppings that complimented each other. If I recall correctly, one tomato based, one sweet pepper, and another ricotta. It went perfectly with the Angeline Cabernet Sauvignon. We also had an onion soup, but trust me when I say, there's no way you could guess what it was. It was creamy, a little earthy and very delicious with more of a subtle onion flavor. Most of their cuisine is wood-fired, which offers a very distinct taste. We ordered pizza off of the Specials menu. I should have written the ingredients. My guess is mozzarella cheese, ricotta, sausage and a little hot honey. I apologize if that is inaccurate. Nevertheless, it was delicious. The crust was airy. Very nice. Great ambiance, nicely decorated, great service. Almost forgot...lemontini is legit ??

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Restaurant Navona. The Italian cuisine was simply delicious and the Tagliatelle and wood fired pizza were the standout dishes. The romantic atmosphere of the restaurant made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the wine selection was top notch. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and romantic dining experience. 5 stars all the way!
Absolutely fantastic! Our server Jorge was super friendly and went above and beyond especially during a very busy Friday night. When I told him I was gluten free, he actually went and got Chef Mike who explained their gluten free process for me and what could be substituted in the different meals. I decided to go with the Tagliatelle Al Ragu with gluten free pasta and it was PHENOMENAL. I’ve been gluten free for three years now and this was the best pasta I’ve had and will definitely be coming back. My husband had the gnocchi and said the pillowy texture of the gnocchi mixed with the sausage, gravy was absolutely perfect. In addition, Chef Mike recommended gluten free desserts and again, they were amazing! Highly recommend!
Food, staff and atmosphere are all great. Still a little COVID shy. They were nice enough to sit us in the back by fireplace. Drank wine. Had a caramelized onion, potato, bacon soup that was amazing. Added a puddle pizza and another bottle of wine. A perfect evening. Go and enjoy.

I. Love. Cheese. And the Cheese puddle was so good I got hiccups from eating it too fast. I just couldn’t get it in my belly fast enough. Not to mention Maeve made me the BEST espresso martini I’ve ever had. Between the comforting atmosphere and fantastic food, I highly recommend coming here!
Amazing food, fantastic experience and wonderful staff
