Delicious food every time we've dined! Fun and comfortable atmosphere. Varied menu. Looking forward to being able to dine outside too when the weather is warm!

I'll always have a soft spot for Navona. My dining experience is always great - food is spot on every time even when they're totally slammed. They stay busy but the service is timely and the servers check up frequently to ensure I have all I need. Regularly I dine alone but all friends I've brought with me have enjoyed it - especially the pizza. The inside is cute and the decorations are interesting. I enjoy the lighting as it's not too overpowering which I am sensitive to. The owner is friendly and can be seen chatting with people who are regulars which just goes to show it has the homey, family feel, very personalized. The servers know my order because I consistently get the same thing and dine there so often which is not necessary but sweet. You won't be disappointed - try the pizza and if that's not for you then the bruschetta or focaccia with ricotta, they're all delicious. For dessert I recommend the chocolate mousse - very sweet and rich but totally worth it!

This place is cozy and intimate, so bring your special ones here. The chefs produce an interesting mix of Old School Italian to modern cuisine you won't find elsewhere. Features: lovely, comfortable decor, Wood fired pizza oven - also used for other innovations from the kitchen. Full bar in the main dining area and a backroom equipped with full bar and fireplace. Add Navona's own brand of extraordinary customer service and you have your new favorite place.

Navona under previous management had a better bar but I cannot complain about the service or food in any way. Highly recommend the pork belly lettuce wraps. I wish they gave more lettuce but everyone about that dish is just divine, including the horseradish sauce and I don't even like horseradish! As always, we saved room for dessert and both the olive oil cake (loved the crispy, cinnamon-sugary bits) and chocolate mousse (recipe changed—no more lace cookie, but the mousse itself somehow got more rich and lighter at the same time? I do not understand..We usually go here for dinner but today we tried their lunch and it was ✨stellar✨. My husband got the pizza navona (margherita pizza essentially, fresh Italian style pizza made in a brick oven, best in Albany) like he usually does and I got their reasonably priced ($15) salmon. It was a proper portion which meant I was unable to overeat its deliciousness like my American nature wants to and FULL of flavor, the roasted asparagus, greens, and onion in the yogurt sauce was sooooooo good. We also got the chickpea panzanella side ($3, great price for a decent sized side that most places would charge $6 for) and were very pleased. I do wish they had pasta offerings for lunch besides a pasta salad, but I was not displeased with my options. I'll be back and I'm probably going to have to try their turkey pepperonata sandwich next. ???Vegetarian options: My husband is vegetarian but still loves this place despite the limited selection. Their pizza is amazing; this time he tried the gnocchi, but he could not take the creaminess of the butter sauce. They rushed a pizza for him (ty!) and I had his gnocchi the next day for lunch.Parking: Parking lot in the back is often full but on Tuesday there were spaces.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and are extremely kind and patient with children.

We came here for the wood fired pizza and weren't disappointed. Flavorful slices with great portions of sauce, cheese, and char. Staff was friendly and attentive. Loved having the shady patio on a sunny afternoon.

Any time I come here the food is excellent! A farm to table place with homemade gnocchi, pizza and a full bar make it a neighborhood favorite. The soups are always amazing - watermelon gazpacho in summer and mushroom soup in the fall don't disappoint. They don't have a large menu but enough to satisfy meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The menu reflects the bounty of the seasons. The homemade focaccia with olive oil & cheese is not to be missed! Their Caesar salad is a staple of mine. Reservations are a good idea on busy weekend nights. The restaurant is warm and inviting and the fireplace is a welcome spot in the winter.

First time here, and as usual, I studied all my Elite friends reviews to choose my order. I wasn't thinking pizza, but wound up ordering after the reviews of the cheese Puddle. It was excellent. Now, 5+ years later, I'm here again. I had the fig and goat cheese salad, and mushroom on brioche. Let me tell you, the mushroom toast was EXCELLENT. The salad - good. The gig portion was some fig jam wiped around the inside of a dark plate, not what I was expecting. Definitely hope to return soon!

We hired Restaurant Navona's food truck for a corporate party and it was wonderful! They were early to set up, so accommodating and the food was delicious. Kim and her team were amazing. Not to mention, the presentation was beautiful. Highly recommend for your next event!

Enjoyed the pizza (said by an Italian) made with good tomato sauce, real mozzarella and with a wood fired oven. Glad I got tempted by the biscuits dessert, that was good too

Menu descriptions are lacking. Gluten free pizza was like a flavorless cracker and their Pizzas tend to lack sauce menu could describe better. No gf bread

My wife and I came here when they opened on a Saturday at 4. Came here to order a Pizza and to have a beer. I got my beer and then the waitress told us they are not offering pizza at this time. We asked when it would be ready and she could not give us a answer. We sat and had our beer until 430 and they still did not offer the pizza. So we got up and left. If you are a a place known for pizza you have to be able to serve pizza when you open. This is unacceptable.

I went with a bunch of friends. They were all drinking, I was not. I ordered an open face meatball sandwich and when it eventually came I thought it was someone else's dinner. It was unrecognizable. It looked like vomit. Furthermore they use those frozen meatballs that taste like dust. Navona is a dive bar, not a restaurant.

So close yet so far.Food was delicious.Decor / environs were very nice. The menu was one-third the size of what it should have been. The portions were one-third the size they should have been. Thus the prices were 3 times what they should have been.Remedy these things and it would be a 4.5 star restaurant. Til then it's a 3.
