Salt bagels are next level delicious. Best bagels in the capital region!
Pearl’s is a true gift to the area. The bagels are tremendous. The staff are always welcoming. We appreciate you!
Went around 11am and they were out of most sandwich bread except garlic bagels. We had really been hoping to try the challah bread as it was our first time visiting. What we got was good but still surprising that they were that low on inventory by 11am when they close at 2pm. If you're in the area and it's early morning then it's worth checking out but maybe consider elsewhere later in the day.
The cold brew is absolutely delightful . Bagel could’ve used more cheese on it . They are a bit on the expensive side . No worse than uncommon grounds though . The staff could be a bit friendlier .
Bagels tasted great. Loved their scallion cream cheese. Also had an egg cheese and bacon bagel for my plane ride home. Was very excellent even hours later.
A little pricey but quality was good. We were there very early so no line (6:30am)
This is the only place I have found so far in Albany to get anything resembling a New York style bangle. The crust is firm yet chewy and the inside is chewy as well. They could not be more different than the place that advertises itself as “uncommon“, that has bagels that are overly big overly doughy and overly sweet and malty. Bruce used to be close but not as accessible since their partial demise.
There was a line when I got there at about 1030 on a Friday. It moved quickly. They were out of couple varieties and I jokingly asked a woman in front of me who ordered the last pumpernickel everything if you would take five dollars for me too, buy it from her! Besides the bagels, they have a large variety of baked goods, including muffins, challah, tutelary, etc. They serve both hot and cold sandwiches and today much did their credit there was a vegan sandwich made with artificial egg. They also have a daily vagal variety of which they were sold out today. It was something with dill and garlic, which sounded great. They have traditional breakfast sandwiches as well. They are one of the few places in the area to have plain scallion cream cheese. Today they also had a special cream cheese with walnuts, apples, and something else.
The food rates a 5+. I would like to see more space inside and less frequent lines. Where else do you ever see a line in Albany? It speaks to the wonderfulness of the place. I took off some on the service as one of my pet peeves is having a tip screen put in front of me. The staff is not serving me. They are selling me a product. To put a tip screen that I think starts at 18% is somewhat maddening. Unfortunately, it is becoming ubiquitous. Despite these two minor objections, if the quality and recipes stay the same, they will have my undying devotion.
Best bagel place HANDS DOWN. Never once have I tried something from the menu and been anything but blown away. Rachel and her staff give customers the friendliest experience leaving you with a heart full of joy and belly full of only the best quality fuel to help you conquer the day. The quality thats never compromised is matched by a promise of a satisfied hunger.

So I just moved to the area and have been on the hunt for good vegan food. Holy moly is the vegan food good here! I’ve had three different types of sandwiches and two different types of baked goods- ALL of them have been top tier all the way. I’m so happy I only live 10 minutes away.
Stopped in at 11:11 on a Sunday and they had no bagels. Come on, make more bagels if you’re gonna be a bagel shop. I know they don’t care if they lose one persons business, but that’s what is happening here.
Love Pearls Bagels as someone that enjoys NYC boiled bagels. Has good crust and tasty bread overall. The sweets are also a treat. Owner seems to be close to many regulars here. No indoor seating and would love to see this store expand to accommodate peak hours foot traffic. Come before mid afternoon to secure bagels. The lox is great. Haven’t tried their coffee options. Has fancy vegetarian options.

Amazing bakery but I went twice this week once at 720am and an other day around 11am, both days they were sold out of all rugulah and a lot of other things. So if you can get it, it’s amazingly good!
Not only do they have the best bagels in town, they have many vegan options including Just Egg, Violife cheese and Imposter bacon and pastrami. They have now even perfected a giant vegan chocolate chip cookie. The cookie is soft in the middle and great crunch on the edges. All with the perfect amount of chocolate. It is delish!!!!!!

Was visiting the Albany area in October and stopped by after looking up "bagels in Albany" and seeing this place in the list of locations that came up on my search. Glad that I took the chance as the bagels and service were great and I enjoyed supporting a small business. Recommended for anyone looking for a quick bite and delicious bagels.

Bagels are just as good as any in the Capital Region. Better chew and flavor than say a Dunkin Donuts bagel but just as bread like. Kind of on the small side too. Would recommend the flavored cream cheese. Definitely not the caliber of any downstate bagel.
